This is the text of a tweet which appeared yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) about 4pm.
At the time of writing (11.20 am, Wednesday) it has had 143 'likes', 96 retweets and 23 responses and has gone down like a pint of tepid wombat vomit.
It's difficult to find words which effectively capture the hypocrisy and vainglory demonstrated here.
The idea that Zelensky, Biden, Putin, Xi, Starmer, or any other significant players on the geopolitical stage give two 'figs' what John Swinney thinks about anything is jaw-dropping enough to be going on with but the very fact that he appears to have authorised that statement is certainly of major interest to the Scots on whose behalf he claims to be speaking.
If Swinney is not representing the views of 'Scotland' here, who is he representing?
