I think he misspoke. He meant to say (for the camera), “The trust that the Scottish people had in us has been eroded”, although I have no doubt that he meant what he actually said. “It’s not our fault that we and the country are in such a mess, it’s the fault of the people who voted for us!”
Surely the contempt that ALL politicians from ALL political parties have for the electorate is encompassed in that one little statement and is evidenced by their actions daily
IMO Flynn is the perfect example of a politician who the second he achieves the gravy train status his acting skills of concern abandon him to be replaced by disgust for the electorate
A vacant soundbite of a man
the last I heard the SNP were running about in groupthink mode talking, as to understand, a
“failure to communicate”
– but nah … I think people got the message … hatecrimes and cutting the kids tadgers off and general incompetence at anything in the “real world”
that phrase FTC – makes me think of Cool Hand Luke, and Boss Hogg and The Man With No Eyes …
There have been some amazing achievements – this “deposit return scheme” – how is it possible to – fuck something like that up and then, for the top prize – get sued for 100M for it.
– there was a “scheme” when I was a kid, no one gave it a name, you just took your empty “ginger boattles” back to the newsagents / corner shop where you bought it. You got back 5 or 10p per bottle; of no interest to adults, but the kids would enthusiastically indulge in this. The shop owners always acted as if it was a big deal but they were rarely out of pocket, for as soon as you got your 50p or whatever, you immediately spent it back on – kola bottles, wham bars, sherbet dips, all that. The bottles were collected by the drinks lorry when it made its deliveries. The sugar police would try to ban this now, though.
It seems so straightforward no one realised you even needed a “plan”. Over thought (for once), over planned, over tecched – fancy vending machines.
Plus, everyone also has a recycling bin for containers, so why was this needed anyway? Are you saying these recycling bins aren’t getting recycled? How? Why dat?
I think Lorna Slater has overstayed her visa, by a considerable margin and we should find a safe third country to deport her to, in case she is attacked by Grizzlies in her native Canada, thinking her a long plank of wood, and to rub themselves on her. We should move fast in case she gets herself knocked up to provide an “anchor baby”. The litte homunculus gremlin fathered by kind donation from Harvie, and christened “Lovelock Greta Net Zero Save the Planet Exterminate the Working Classes Bellamy Davos Greenhouse Gas Slater Harvie Sleater Kinney E Smith, the third”, the child being born a trans and its pronouns revealed by ultrasound.
Ferries too – my friend a watersports enthusiast (no giggling at the back, there – disgusting) told me in one of those “did you know … ” verbal gambits : for the cost of the pished up dosh for these ferries, scotgov could have bought every single islander in the western isles, a top quality jetski, capable of 10mpg cruising at 30mph and even getting to over 50mph. Fuck Calmac, let’s do Baywatch.
Brecht? – someone should rework the famous song to become “Nick the Knife”

Aye, one of the best ferry designers in the world, who happens to be a Scot, has offered to replace all CalMac’s 31 ferries for the same price as the two CMAL white elephants still sitting at Port Glasgow – £400m and counting. But ScoTGov officials and RMT decided to stick with what they know, buying even more poorly designed monohulls offering over-manned crews a great all-day menu and cruising style they have become used to. Humza even got to shake hands with the supplier, that nice Mr. er dougan.

Alf Baird @ 13.25.
You’ll really need to stop reminding me, Professor Baird. I’m an elderly duffer with high BP and a couple of other medical issues !
Every time I recall that the SNP devolved administration could have had both your goodwill & input plus the wholehearted business acumen and proven ability of your friend just for the asking I’m near heading for a coronary.
If no other demonstration had been needed to demonstrate what a pack of knavish dunderheids held sway from 2014, this ongoing debacle alone would suffice.
@Confused 12.54: loved your (informed) rant but David Bellamy saw through the catastrophic climate change stuff yonks ago and lost his BBC job because he spoke out.

Wings Over Scotland | The Scissor Sisters
After 14 years of Tory austerity, cut backs, credit crunch and recession the Labour Party decide to take Winter Fuel payments away from pensioners.
Labour now looking at increasing the tax levels on private pension payouts.
On Thursday I noticed the Summer temperature in Glasgow was 15 Degrees and in Cambridge it was 30 Degrees.
In Winter the Scots can freeze but we are all in it together aren’t we Keir.
Motorist who really need their cars for work already face 40% increases in insurance,
More repair bills with pot holes for roads, ULEZ restrictions and fees, and eye watering parking costs such as £15 for 21 minutes at Glasgow Airport.
Labour want to increase the taxes for refuelling your car.
10% on to home energy bills and my broadband and mobile phone providers all seem to have government blessing to have annual increases above the rate of inflation.
For 60 consecutive years the gap between rich and poor grown wider and Labour intend to make sure that will continue for another 5 years at least.
I use my own car to travel to surveys for my employer.
The government agreed a rate of 45 pence per mile for the first 10,000 miles and 25 pence beyond that. The rate was set and never upgraded back in 2011.
It was at that time to take account of fuel, insurance, repairs, MOTs etc.
Now it doesn’t pay for the fuel that Labour wants to cost even more.
Now my council want £60 p.a. to continue to take away my garden waste bin.
Where is the party who want to improve the standard of living for the majority.
Where are the politicians who will increase and improve public services.
Enough is enough in this country.
No more tax increases and no more cuts ever.
Postcolonial theory suggests, and the SNP actions prove, that a national party that opts to become a colonial administration is destined to lose sight of its main goal. For they become part of the colonial racket which oppresses (hauds doun) the people and protects only the colonizer’s interest.
https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.com/2021/07/18/determinants-of-independence-colonialism/
Spot on Chris.
Instead of finger pointing – if the SNP hadn’t sold us out on indy around Brexit – a perfect opportunity to ditch this illegal union – we wouldn’t be in the position of mega cuts coming down the line – yes there would have been some cuts, but not as hard and as deep, as we would’ve been able to mitigate some of them, as an independent nation in control of our resources – its more than likely, that the pension age for women would’ve remained at 60 – and our NHS would be in better shape, than it is now.
But the SNP – decided to save the union instead, they put the union, and their party above the interests of the people of Scotland – and here we are – as Scotland circles the plughole – and public services look likely to take a huge nosedive.
Look at the Capitalist eejits on here lol
Arbeit macht frei!
You don’t have a pot to piss in. Yer county asset stripped & sold. No paying back into the system. Shit floating in rivers. Workers treated like slaves on low wages. No job security. No free education. No future. No old age security either & no one to wipe yer dribble unless you sell that house you’ve just bragged you paid off.
But first to scream blue murder when a service is either fucked up is taken away all together.
You lot don’t pay for poor ppl, ya eejits. The UK has modern day slavery. Young ppl not even given opportunities to better themselves.
When things go wrong in a socialist country they blame socialism.
When things go wrong in a Communist country they blame Communism.
When things go wrong in a Capitalist country they never blame Capitalism.
Similarly, when things go wrong in a colony they never blame the coloniser.
If you read the international business press before the election (not the UK) you would have known about “how bad the books are” before the election.
So, Labour gets in, talking a good game. The telegraph/mail is running scare stories about “labour tax raids” and a “12B black hole” (never mentioned this when the tories were in).
– you gotta hand it to middle class narcissism – for them its all about VAT on school fees and their tax dodges. Bless. Broad shoulders, for we are all in this together.
Now, we all know the Labour party has been shiting it from the city post-wilson, so it will do nothing and has nothing in the bag. And so we get the “dose of realism” – worse, before it gets better – why not tell everyone to chin up and show some moral fibre?
Before their victory, the tories were doing a lot of dark things with welfare, like chasing long term disabled off the books, with increased assessments and general bureaucratic harassment; looks like Labour will be doing the same, only more. Complaining about “benefit fraud” when the augean stables of corruption and tax evasion called the city is standing behind you, is pure chutzpah.
And the sick – “is this a joke!” – not a joke is that Starmer is enthusiastically shovelling billions to some eastern made up non country no one gives a shit about; it was billions for weapons and also billions in loans, but these loans are like the ones the US gives to israhel – they are never to be paid back, never called in.
Check that : the Labour Party, of the people, gets in and turns around to go turbo tory while it pishes approx 12B up a wall – and I would doubt even half of that cash goes to actual fighting.
Over the next few years people will hate Labour as bad as they did the tories, then Farage has a good chance of getting in due to the popular will of the anglo cabbage head – and things will get a whole lot worse, especially for us. Indy is a matter of survival now.
Latest Scotland Speaks has Alex talking to an economist on a “what if” scenario if we had gone indy in 2014. Interesting – the problem would have been too-fast growth, plus the need for a massive infrastructure upgrade, a need for our own currency which would strengthen wrt the pound, maybe lower taxes. These are the right kinds of problems to have – from wealth, not poverty.

As for having all the pretty things in life, good for you. Others may not. Another bastard stain Thatchers minions left us – selfish barstewards who are also as thick as shit about *their taxes* cause they’ve been programmed to believe they actually buy things & pay for the poor FFS LOL!

BBC Online: The SNP has spent too long focusing on the “process of independence”, Scotland’s first minister John Swinney has said.
Should have gone to Specsavers!
But SIR Keir says we must all face some pain…EXCEPT of course those who sit their lardy arses upon the green benches of Westminster. The MP’s will be ok. Their pension is secure (and rather nice), their salary will go up (funny that), tax rises for fuel – well they can expense that. Good prices up? No matter the MP’s can dine in real style, subsidised by UK taxpayers.
SIR Keir, the champagne socialist’s Champagne socialist, will make sure the rich do not suffer.
The Labour party, same as it ever was. Promise folk the earth then steal their winter fuel payment in Scotland – whilst stealing all our oil ,gas and NOW electricity for England.
Labour, the RED tories. At least the blue Tories are honest about being c**ts, the RED tories pretend to be something nicer, whilst punishing the poor.
And never forget, it wasn’t the blue tories that introduced tuition fees for students, it was LABOUR.
Wonder if any of the speakers can explain the meaning of independence:

Why would anyone celebrate a Referendum that was deliberately setup to fail before anyone cast a single vote?
Why did Salmond setup the 2014 Referendum to fail before anyone had even cast a single vote, by allowing the, English, Welsh and NI and also all foreign nationals….
Not gonna defend Salmond for once, because you’re essentially correct, however, I suspect even Salmond himself didn’t expect to overturn a huge Unionist majority, a rigged system, and corrupt media to actually win. I suspect if Alex Salmond was being candid, he’d admit that the 2014 momentum exceeded all his expectations.
In that context, is it the same cardinal sin to agree the wider franchise if that “concession” was necessary to secure Westminster’s consent to hold a referendum at all?
I think in both Salmond and Cameron, we had two gamblers; one optimistic the stacked odds might be overcome, and the other complacent that defeat was a foregone conclusion.
Whatever the truth, Salmond came bloody close to winning, and did more for Scotland than practically any other Scottish politician I can draw to mind, and the fact he’s not perfect can be excused.
I also believe Salmond was afraid the UK Establishment would press all the “Ulsterisation of Scotland” buttons, and this might have worked to destabilise Scotland, had swathes of the Unionist community been denied the vote. Folk are afraid of the Constitutional mandate from Scottish Nationals even now, nevermind back in 2014. Back in 2014 you were branded hysterical and desperate if you condemned the BBC, and not just by Unionists either.
Back in 2014, YES was a wholeheartedly positive initiative, which built upon hope and opportunity. I don’t think people were ready for a raw and binary battle over sovereignty. It would have antagonised people we might otherwise have persuaded.
There is an argument that still remains the case, however I think a great number of people are deeply, deeply troubled and suspicious about how YES and the SNP has been cynically deconstructed from within by full blown tr@itors. There something deeply “sus” about the whole decade after.
If our enemy is so very determined to cheat us and skew victory at any cost, then in my humble opinion, Scotland MUST now play hardball, and drive home the Constitutional Sovereignty of the Scottish people.
Whether you’re keen about this, as I am, or deeply reluctant, I have always believed it would come to this.
A battle for Sovereignty? Yes. This is the endgame and always was.
Troops on the street? No. I just don’t see it. That would polarise opinion instantly and destroy the Union. They know it too.
History shows that countries do not achieve independence by being polite.
Breeks.
I hope you don’t mind if I add to that,
As you say it will eventually come down to Sovereignty. And I believe this to be true also, and that out of desparation they ( the other side ) may include inciting trouble on the streets of Scotland.
But if the Scots stay off the Street and use brains instead of brawn, Ruthie, you know who, tried ramping up that one,
Scotland has enough claim to Sovereignty ground on that bases,
However we must use all the tools in that box, not a few select ones. As Westminster parliament more than implies the Scots were not invited to join the Treaty of union, because they would in all probability have voted No anyway,
That statement assures Scots of Three things.
1) That Scots were considered “Sovereign people in their own right ” from the 1707 Scottish parliament. By all those involved in the terms, agreements and ratification process.
2) That “Scots were considered Sovereign people in their own right” even above and beyond their Monarch.
3) That therefore Scots are not in the Treaty of Union.
And do not require a referendum or section 30 to leave a treaty they are not in or ever have been.
@ Breeks 2.37pm, I agree with some of your comments in response to 100% yes’s post @ 11.40am, but overall I have to admit his comment and feelings I echo wholeheartedly, many people yourself included hail Alex Salmond as a great thinker and superb tactician, TBQH after his vast experience and history within WM and the DUPLICITY,LIES AND CORRUPTION the establishment were renowned for, his mistake in TRUSTING anything they said or did was egregious
Looking at the lineup appearing with Salmond, apart from Rev Stu and Canavan can anyone tell me what the others like Cherry,Whitford,Neil or Ewing did or do to promote and further independence, as far as I can tell ALL they did was sit on their substantial arses,SILENT, and let sturgeon the deviant and pervert betrayer destroy the independence movement while they claimed their generous salaries and expenses
Turabdin at 0248pm,
Exactly. No country ever left a serial abuser like England, by being nice. I am not suggesting violence, but independence supporters need to stop saying ‘only THIS way’ will lead to independence. We need to use EVERY way.
My honest opinion of the current SNP and the wasted Sturgeon decade, is that it suited the whole damn lot of them to be able to say ‘London winnae let us, whine whine’ That let them all ride the gravy train, but never actually have to seriously pursue independence in any meaningful way. In short they did NOTHING. The current SNP still do nothing, to pursue independence, constantly using England’s permission as a pathetic excuse for inaction.
No country ever gets independence by sitting asking for permission.
As to the referendum in 2014. I remember sitting atop Salisbury Crags overlooking Holyrood a couple of days before the result. Their was a huge media camp set up, with FOREIGN media from around the world reporting. Salmond KNEW, that England would resist even if we won, that he wanted the whole world to see it, the declaration of Scottish independence by democratic vote and an end to English rule over Scotland.
Their is no single route to independence an an end to England’s abusive colonial rule. EVERY route needs examined and tried. Whether it be via SALVO, the constitution, legal routes, referendum, elections, whatever. EVERY route needs done.
What Scotland needs now is a leader that seriously wants independence, that knows it is URGENT. The current SNP do not have it.
This meeting in Glasgow is more important than it seems. This might be our chance to get focused on independence again. Not socialist independence, not woke independence, not capitalist independence, not ‘green’ independence – NONE of those distractions, just one thing, actual SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE.
This meeting in Glasgow is very timely, as we can now see the English red tories are just doing exactly the same as the English real tories did, when in power, abuse Scotland and ignore its poeple.
Scotland needs independence even more, now in 2024, than in 2014. Its time to stop looking backwards and get things moving.

I welcome healthy disagreement twathater. After all we have witnessed, constructive discussion is more important than ever.
I have a long term axe to grind with Ewing, so he definitely wouldn’t be on my list of allstars, and I’m fairly lukewarm about a couple of others, but I try to see more baby in them than bath water.
I was one of Joanna’s most vocal supporters when she was on the charge and rattling Westminster’s foundations using Constitutionally derived arguments… but then she just stopped. WTF? The Establishment knocked to the canvas, and she just retired to her corner.
However, then the “ifs” creep in. “If” you accept there’s been clandestine shenanigans going on at SNP HQ, this type of insurrection and skullduggery is very clever and knowing which buttons to press for their desired effect. I wouldn’t expect a Barrister to fall for it, but buttons are buttons, and a lot depends on what they’re wired to. And my last word on JC, is that she probably took a paycut to pursue her political career, but yeah, there is very much a sense of underachievement and /or unfinished business. I wonder if she’d admit to that. I’d also like to hear her take on SALVO and the Claim of Right.
Do any of these folks have anything left in the tank? You’d hope so, but I dunno. Maybe they’ve all given their best already, and we need the new blood and rebellion, – some potent irreverance from the likes of SALVO to kick over the fire and let the oxygen in.
As for the trolls on here, just ignore them. They don’t come here to win an argument, their goal is to be a pest and provoke a response; a lot like some spoiled wee attention seeking brat at a primary school. All of you, most of you anyway, were given the perfect response; an index finger, a brilliant tool for scrolling on by…

” Their is no single route to independence an an end to England’s abusive colonial rule. EVERY route needs examined and tried. Whether it be via SALVO, the constitution, legal routes, referendum, elections, whatever. EVERY route needs done. ”
I agree and have said the same previously .
Disappointing then that the event will feature such stellar , said-fuck-all-when-it-mattered failures as Whitford ; Cherry – 15mins of fame then zero , other than whingeing about the online ” attacks ” on HER , not a word about the outright evil cunts’ attempt to destroy Alex Salmond and continued to give tacit support to Sturgeon by remaining in the Party who gave tacit support to both the hysterical manshees threatening her & the Get Salmond conspirators .
And yet , no invitations extended to honourable , unsullied Independence fighters like Sara Salyers , Alf Baird , Liberation.Scot , Peter Bell , to name just some .
I’m afraid I have disagree with this ….
” This meeting in Glasgow is more important than it seems ” .
Without pre-judging the event – it MAY turn-out to be much LESS important than it seems . None of the participants have shown any signs of fresh thinking on the subject of how to achieve our goal and seem firmly stuck in the manifestly insufficient , unproductive Political Party musical chairs game .
When the music stops ….vote for me/us ; we’re much better that THAT lot , honest .
” When the music’s over …….turn out the lights , turn out the lights , turn out the lights . Yeah “
@ Robert Louis says
“What Scotland needs now is a leader that seriously wants independence, that knows it is URGENT.”
No and aye to that.
Firstly I think reliance on a leader is not the way to go because that creates a single focal point and target for the powers that be to attack and diminish which has been proven time and time again to work for the Establishment eg. Corbyn, Salmond.
Much better to have a diverse pool of leaders which includes individuals that have knowledge or expertise on specific matters, as that makes it much harder to tarnish a collective effectively.
I am fed up of politicians churning out superficial of the moment soundbites on complex subjects they appear to know little about. There’s a reason Ministers are meant to have specific remits to oversee, and that is because it just isn’t possible for one individual to have a deep understanding of all areas such as energy, trade, health, immigration, agriculture, etc.
Winging it just makes them look like a jack of all trades master of none who’s words could be pulled apart by anyone with more detailed knowledge of the subject matter they are discussing.
I understood politics should be about policy, so instead of navel gazing on the past stagnated decade, why aren’t folk actually looking to and working for the future by discussing and forming sensible workable policies that would resonate with and win over the electorate.
And ffs, don’t focus attention on the skipfires of twitter/x or facebook as the majority of the population don’t or can’t keep up with that endless stream of effluent on those sites because they actually have to spend their time working and not sitting ADHDlike online.
…And that brings me to the second point on the matter of urgency. I certainly agree with that because everyday that goes by more and more of Scotland is being exploited much to our detriment.
If all someone’s got is the negative of endlessly pontificating about the current dire state of Scotland’s politics, without putting any serious effort into improving this state of affairs, then they need to give themselves a good shake as they’re becoming part of the roadblock to progressing any improvements.
Pretty much all the things that concern us with the seriously corrupted status quo will be swept aside once the embedded dross has been removed, and only then will that create a fresh opportunity to implement a better way of doing things.
I haven’t followed any of that conference but if it really is full of senior delegates voting to “improve access to gender affirming care” then the Anglo American coup of the SNP is complete.
They’ve rocks in their head & this American imported bullshit is an abomination to voters which was it’s intention. Give the ppl a freak show as a distraction to the shit they’re doing behind the scenes in curbing ppls freedoms & liberties.
Like Z, Sturgeon will no doubt have been offered all manner of trinkets for her betrayal to an entire Nation, to fit up her friend & mentor to remove him from the scene & to kill the SNP dead with mismanagement & fraud. UN & EU titles on offer, even a Times magazine cover (despite achieving fuck all in office) to pose deep in thought (lolz) & the selfie queen lapped it up good & proper.
Now reality will set in. It was really fitted up. There was fck all on offer. Duped & dumped. Played like a fiddle. Loathed by an entire Nation.
“How I went fae Hydro to Cornton Vale” would be a great title for her book.
Lessons to be learned? Fck treacherous politicians on the take. Abstain from Westminster or piss off. Go the decolonisation route with a solid convention without external interference. The yanks run the UN but not for long as they & their thugs trash the UN charter in front of everyone & spout absolute pish about having world class morals & democracy as they war around the globe overthrowing governments & leaving a trail of death behind them.
I know the gig of self determination was originally penned to break up R into tiny wee manageable regions easily controlled by a legion of puppets but it’s internationally accepted now & colonialism is over, so is the G7 & so is prodding the bear. The UK won’t meet the criteria to be a player at the security table after this, especially not after it’s shenanigans in U & France won’t be either. Two yappy fckers with hee-haw clout to back up the shit that comes out it’s mouth.
Scotlands independence has to be removed entirely from a domestic setting. It’s ludicrous to expect our captors to just hand over the keys & all that energy wealth just sail out the door with us. Never going to happen. Proof of that is the wars they’re currently poking their noses into for a hopeful share of the spoils. They’ll not hand Scotland over. The best course of action is to revisit the original contract. That “ancient guff” is the T&Cs. If we want to terminate a contract we have to start there. If we terminate then a referendum will be on REJOINING the union & we’ll see what shit they have to peddle to US. Not the other way around.

Which ‘folk’ are you referring to? Do you mean politicians or do you think your ordinary Scottish voter should be ‘forming sensible workable policies’?
I don’t have a problem with ‘folk’ having a discussion about what happened in the past. You can always learn from your mistakes.
Everyone going to this event will have a good time.
I don’t imagine they will learn anything new but you never know.
No doubt someone will do or say something that will be twisted into a headline in the ‘Scottish press’
If this were in Edinburgh I might have gone if only for the ‘craic’ £25 is a bargain when you compare it to the hourly price of seeing only one politician at the Fringe
Nine for the price of one is not bad.
£13 for an hour of Mhairi Black giving a a guided tour of the palace of Westminster.
You can get that for free on the Parliament website.
I don’t know how much it cost for an hour and ten minutes of ‘All Talk with Humza Yousaf MSP’ but it seems only 20% of tickets were sold. Maybe the 20% of filled seats were mostly complimentary tickets given to friends, family & journalists so maybe claiming 20% of tickets sold is incorrect.
NB The Event in Glasgow lasts for 4 and a half hours. It’s a bargain.
Four and a half hours of Mhairi black would cost 50p short of £60.

“The best course of action is to revisit the original contract.”
To which the violations are many and varied, starting with the very bribery and corruption of its crooked signatories, and would appear to be more than sufficient for a Scottish court (while it still exists) to undertake judicial review and opine the Treaty of Union as breached and void. That is what our courts are there for, to hold any party including government to account for unlawful acts.
Geri @ 10:22 am
“I haven’t followed any of that conference”
The sad but inevitable reality of a dominant national party elite that ‘has been co-opted by colonialism’ is that they end up ‘behaving much like a gang’ (Fanon). By opting to co-operate with colonialism and in choosing ‘neutrality’, they have become no more nor less than criminals.
Their crime is in helping the colonial regime to continue, a regime which ‘owes its legitimacy to force’ and to exploitation. They are leaving the nation and people subject to colonial status which is ‘the organized reduction to slavery of a whole people’.
In the colonies ‘the native has always known that he need expect nothing from the other side’. And ‘the settler’s work is to make even dreams of liberty impossible for the native’. But now the oppressed native realises that ‘colonialism can also wear a black face’ (Fanon) and speak in the native tongue.
Aw F*ck!
It looks like the pointless Empire Games – aka, The Commonwealth Games will be coming to my home town of Glasgow, the Aussie folk of the State of Victoria – might have to shell out a £100 million quid, and give it to the organisers of the Empire Games – to use in Glasgow, still, that’s a helluva lot cheaper than the estimated £3.6 billion quid to host the now defunct colonial games – that NO country wants, except little old colonial Scotland – that’s too stupid to know the difference.
Can you spot any similarities with Scotland’s position – with regards to the illegal union with England – and their use of House Jocks.
“Invading and occupying a country has historically come at a high cost, both financially and in terms of human lives. However, in the 21st century, where asymmetrical warfare prevails, dominating a nation can be achieved through more subtle means. Enter lawfare—an easier and less costly method of steering a key country in the geopolitical chess game.”

From the heady days of the Glasgow Hydro to this, surely to fuck, the diehards must see the writing on the wall or online blogs, the dying embers of once a genuine civic movement to the dying embers of failure to accept the truth.
This trans person, why do they think they are second class citizens?
The law protects them, just like me, from verbal abuse, physical attack, slander and anything else they can imagine.
They can change their name by deed poll, dress how they please and roam the country as they please.
What they do want is to be the centre of attention, priority number one.
They want the world to refuse the facts on nature, biology, science, and God, if you are that way inclined.
Trans need to accept the vast majority will not call a penis a vagina and you don’t get to take your penis into the toilets or changing rooms because you found a pair of size 9 sling backs.
Good luck to them but keep out of our faces and female toilets.
Majority rules isn’t changing either!
Would someone please point out to Pete Wishart that he’s a prick. It’s cruel to allow him to think he’s important.
IF & it is a big IF, there were any decent sensible members left in the SNP that were at that conference, then surely it has to be their last. I know if I had been there, I would have walked as soon as the man in drag was given a platform.. I have absolutely nothing against people who have actually gone through the medical procedure of transitioning. But you can not just stick a wig on your head, a frock on your body, lipstick on your every manly mooch. And expect to be taken seriously by seriously honest people in the hall..
Those members still living in hope, surely must now leave that party, I was 53yrs a supporter of SNP 12 yrs a member.. I also remember how boring a man Swiney was, & how nasty he was in trying to ensure MARGO could never win her seat, by sticking her 5th on the list.. Imagine anyone, trying to get rid of MARGO from their party.. Of course the reason was, She was a true believer in Independence, HE was always a devolutionist.
Then along came Sturgeon and between the two of them they did the dirty to Alex knowing full well it was the only way to keep him out of ever coming back.. Anyone who can pay to ever listen to Swiney or all the other thick as shit people he has in his cabinet and on back benches. seriously should spend that money on THERAPY so they can recognise the difference between an INDEPENDENTISTA & a British Unionist, who is happy to see their country held in chains..
Willie @ 10:11 am
“Eradication is the only thing that will kill this cancer that is the SNP.”
Yes Willie, becoming part of the neocolonial racket, introducing oppressive laws and enforcing alien ideologies whilst ignoring the ’cause’ is the SNP’s undoing. As Memmi wrote: “Colonialism is a disease” and “like a cancer wants only to spread”.
Colonialism as ‘punishment’ is also “a type of fascism” which as we see has “undermined civilizations, destroyed countries, ruined nationalities, extirpated “the root of diversity””(Cesaire).
This trans person, why do they think they are second class citizens?
Because they need to be victims. It’s built into transgenderism from its very roots in the late 90s in an attempt to gain traction as well as sympathy. After all, who’d criticise poor wee victims?
Except these people aren’t victims as a whole. Transgenderism is home now to abusive men (and the odd woman) who have seen a way to get society to bend to their will, as after all, nobody wants a return to the bad old days of the 80s and 90s. Except the homophobia LGB people suffered then had been going on for centuries, and people were killed for what they are. Trans people co-opted that for themselves (just as they’ve taken women’s forms) and weaponised it.
So now we’re at the stage where an aggressive and probably very mentally ill man stands at the SNP conference demanding the ability to override medical professionals and invade womens spaces no questions asked. It’s an abusers charter. So yes, Trans people have all the same rights all of us have but they want special privileges nobody else has.
If society allows them to carry on like this we’re going to end up in a place where not just more women and girls end up as victims, not to mention feminine young boys groomed to think they’re women by abusive men, but the backlash to this is going to be a way for the far right to recruit people which sadly, is already happening in small numbers.
It’s also depressing to see supposedly liberal men and women stand back and let people like the nutter at the SNP conference speak as they think it’s ‘progressive’ even though it’s clear it isn’t.
Typical of the current SNP – to blame everyone, and everything, for the coming austerity – as the SNP announces £500 million in spending cuts.
If only the grifting b*stards that run the SNP – hadn’t sold us out on indy – we could’ve steered a better course through the cuts – by tailoring our own budgets, to our ain needs – instead of waiting to see how much of oor ain stolen monies – we’ll get back from the foreign government (Westminster) – in the foreign country of England.
“SCOTLAND’s Finance Secretary Shona Robison has announced the Scottish Government will be making £500 million of spending cuts over the next year in a bid to fill a budget black hole.
After warning the UK is facing a “whole new era of austerity”, Robison made a statement to MSPs at Holyrood this afternoon laying out in detail the severe fiscal challenges the Scottish Government is grappling with.
She said: “Prolonged Westminster austerity, the economic damage of Brexit, a global pandemic, the war in U, and the cost of living crisis have all placed enormous and growing pressure on the public finances.”
Ruby: spot on. Repeal of the GRA 2004.
John c: also spot on.
Twathater: I believe that there are people in positions of power who do actually support this stuff. They are into it themselves. PIE got plenty of support in parliament from those who were into it. Sex and sadism go hand in-hand for some. Others are plain evil and disruptive, and they get their kicks from trying to destroy sociaetal structures. Never before, except, perhaps, in Ancient Rome, has there been a time when sadists, psychopths, narcissists and varied mentally-ill people been so prevalent and openly, aggressively in your face. Some very wealthy people have a finger in this particular PIE, while others are into woman-hating and woman face. The may have different types of sexualties, but they are the same under the skin – exploiters driven by lust. That they all seem to deny the sexual aspect of their conversion to womanliness or the pursuit of those unable to consent, but they lie.
I would love to say that this is totally down to Westminster and Whitehall, but, sorry, much of it is entirely home-grown. We, too, have our share of perverts and deviants. As Ruby says quite correctly, independence per se will not get rid of this stuff. I, too, have been saying that for years now. We would only bring it with us into an independent Scotland.
Highly intelligent experts-in-their-fields , eg John Mearsheimer , Jeffrey Sachs , Col Doug MacGregor , have all stated R has not now nor ever has had any desire/intention of taking-over U let alone any other country .
The absurd fantasy of an intention to recreate the Soviet Union is the type of cretinous propaganda only a cretin would believe and only a nasty little propagandist would attempt to pass-off as reality .
Everything myself and others predicted would happen in this totally avoidable catastrophe has happened .
Another country in ruins as a result of making the fatal mistake of thinking the US War Machine gave an iota of fuck about it other than how it could be manipulated to serve the interest of the vastly profitable Forever War
Scotland would win an independence referendum.
England has been heading towards Fascism since Blair, Cameron, Mayhem, Bojo, Truss, Sunak & now Starmer…each & every single one more unhinged & draconian than their predecessor & each & every one hailing in more powers they don’t see the need to bring to parliament but will just rubber stamp in a “Here’s one I made earlier” & a compliant media asleep at the wheel.
That’s why the want alternative media censored or shut down cause it’s been left to them to uncover their shady deeds.
Also, little England is toast. Piss poor, a Billy no mates at home & abroad, austerity & fake anti semitism on the fcking brain & their only answer to everything.
It won’t ever recover for its role meddling in U either. From attacks on civilians to trying to start another Chernobyl disaster. Not to mention the shit in Iran. It’ll be banished off the world stage for good when the UN is forced to either clean up it’s act or be completely replaced.
Just cause the SNP has been infiltrated doesn’t mean Indy is dead. The entire UK is shit & all the shit stems from Engurlud. A one party state as Sir Kid Starver demonstrates perfectly.
D’Hondt is not inherently skewed towards delivering sinecured places for the apparatchiks of the mainstream parties. Rather than blame D’Hondt for the anaemic state of representative democracy, we should consider less dramatic but nonetheless insidious, means of technical control put in place by agents of the Permanent State.
Remember, the high point in true, proportional representation at Holyrood was 2003 with eight MSPs outwith the five establishment parties..
You don’t have to support the political platforms put forward by non-establishment individuals or parties to support the general principle that a multitude of voices enhances debate. By design, we are left with slightly different flavours of our managerial class endorsed, bland menu.
The fall of the Scottish Socialist Party was the result of various factors, but their political posters at election time were a feature of our streets. The ability of the SSP to harness the enthusiasm of their support and promote their message through poster campaigns will have played a significant part in their returning six MSPs in 2003. By the 2007 election, Margo MacDonald would be the only independent voice at Holyrood. As of the 2016 election, Holyrood was reduced to the five establishment parties
This display of “populism” was intolerable to our managerial class. By the 2016 election, 32 out of 36 Scottish councils has established by-laws prohibiting election posters on council owned street furniture.
The four “hold-out” councils continue to allow election posters on street furniture, proving that any perceived “littering” issue can be managed rather than resorting to prohibition. It’s no coincidence that all four councils are rural and are substantially populated by independent councillors, free from the admonishments of any party head office.
This is the enabling mechanism that has engineered a “career path” for middle class humanities graduates (something with Politics in the title) to monopolise salaried positions at Holyrood.
If we are looking for a locus directing this planned degradation of true, vibrant democracy, we need look no further than the John Smith Centre. Behind disingenuous platitudes about “trust” and “diversification” this front for Thames House, uses internships focused on minority identity groups deemed deserving of promotion beyond any actual, proportional distribution they have in society (LGBTQ+ and BAME, but never Working Class), to mentor and network individuals into a career path that runs from office worker to researcher to SPAD to elected representative.
Have to say that I don’t think sitting on our arses reflecting on polling figures is a particularly useful modus for furthering the cause of returning Scotland to self-governing status.
What would be more useful is actually concentrating on developing policies that would resonate with the significant number of our electorate which the polls do show are totes scunnered with the current political system and looking for some kind of change.
Only someone with their head buried in the sand, or not actually wanting to improve matters, can’t have picked up the vibe on the ground across the locales of our society that another way of doing things is well worth a serious punt.
All mainstream political Parties are effectively captured by the Establishment and packed with agents, careerists, lunatics, and wannabes.
Just look at all the time these politicians spend in the thrall of influencing organisations external to Scotland rather than concentrating their time on actually representing the views and addressing the needs of their respective electorates.
TURABDIN @ 10:23 am
“The issue with the SNP is that when it had power it failed to use it to advance the constitutional demise of the British state.”
Exactly that. The SNP inaction reflects the fact the dominant party ideology is neoliberal, not nationalist. Nationalists in colonial countries only have one purpose – to liberate the people. The SNP neoliberals opted instead to become part of the colonial racket, further enslaving the people.
Which explains why the independence movement are now dumping them and their mankit colonial government.
Oh dear – what kind of government actively try to destroys its own young people -and children’s lives – the answer; ours the SNP government – however its not just the SNP, BLiS and the Lib/Dem branch offices at Holyrood all voted this through in the beginning.
The minds of young Scottish children – and adults are susceptible to body image – and many will now find it much easier, to do irreversible damage to their bodies – at a time in their lives when they – are vulnerable.
pensioners – if you want to stay warm this winter, try the following :
– go to your GP say “I’m a fucking degenerate tranny weirdo, so give me drugs” – get free hormone drugs off the SNHS – now sell these on the dark web
or
– get on dinghy, row out to sea a bit, then row back in – say “I’m asylum seeker, they killed my entire family for being a gay, gib me stuff” – then you get free room and board, and can save on your heating bills
or
– you claim to be a charity collecting weapons for an eastern country – all you need to do is say DISHKY DOSHKY over and over
there is a “magic money tree” but only the special people, the elect, are allowed to shake it
previous scams like saying to Creative Scotland, I want 250K for my installation on lesbian sculture and queer dance, no longer work.
personally, I like the “pension for life” options afforded by emailing Kid Starver, claiming to be a repairman from PC World, who found an old hard drive belonging to Jimmy Savile – would the PM like me to send it to him, for a postal charge of 750K in bitcoin? If he says “why would I want that”, you reply : “I have looked at the contents, fancy lad”.
Once more, only one journalist, The Rev Stu Campbell, publishes the truth about what is happening in Scotland. The lazy, kept ‘journalists’ at the BBC, STV and ‘news’ papers simply republish, without any critical analysis, government statements.
I wonder when the MSM flock of sheep will catch up with Stu’s investigations and revelations this time? A week? Six months? A year?
Thank you, Stu. If the world was a just one, Scots would one day be raising a statue to this site in an Indy Scotland. Sigh
I am writing this in the probably vain hope that it will prove cathartic. I hate these evil people with every fibre of my being. All this time and money spent on a vanishingly small number of people. Cui bono? I suspect that the high heid yins are up tae their oxters in shady practices. Google Magic Circle Edinburgh.
Remember – no one voted for this, it was the majority of the politicians at Holyrood that pushed this through – even though several polls, (some carried out by the Rev) showed that the people of Scotland are against this – and aspects of the GRB – yet these politicians that we put in office, decided to stick two-fingers up to us, and go ahead with it anyway.
It time we removed these b*stards from office – how many more children of Scotland will be brainwashed, into believing that they are in the wrong bodies – before we say enough is enough, these children could be YOUR – grandchildren, or great grandchildren.
The question is clearly why?
Why the wish to harm vulnerable children?
I’ve been aware and trying to fight against this since 2016/7 when a few things dawned on me.
Why?
Several reasons.
1/ Transgenderism, like any cult, needs fresh converts. If you get them young then the idea is you have them for life & in turn those people will recruit other young people.
2/ Money. There’s a lot of money in Transgenderism, especially in the private sector, but also in governments funded quangos, etc. More Trans people, means you’ve got more people to mine for money.
3/ This is the one that took me a while to deal with but ask yourself what sort of people would be wanting to keep young children aged 8-16 in a permanent state of being pre-pubescent?
One of the things about Trans people is their dating pool drastically decreases long before transition, but afterwards it drops even further. If however, you’re online grooming children that Trans is the way to solve all those issues with how their body feels coming up to puberty, or that actually, as a boy playing with ‘girls toys’ that makes you a girl and you need drugs and surgery, then these people are grooming in all senses of the word.
Also, Google ‘transmaxxing’. It’s horrific & also explains why so many Trans identified men are horrendous towards women.
25 years ago, Transgenderism was a tiny movement in the States. A few years later we had Jazz Jennings and then Transgenderism exploded online. Sites like Tumblr were places where the first wave of kids were groomed & then around 2011/2 it kicked up a gear as the media started promoting it in numbers, and then in 2016 former LGB groups like Stonewall switched from doing genuinely good work to fight for equal rights to Trans issues as that’s where the money was.
And from there it ramped up even further during lockdown when untold amounts of kids were transed online. It’s an ongoing nightmare as when you see the effects of the medications/surgery on people who are fooling themselves their lives have got better. Once you see young women in their late teens and 20s with walking aids because of osteoporosis you can’t ever unsee it.
It is sadly, a rabbit hole that is full of horrors. There’s no great conspiracy. It’s basically, sex, money and power mixed with a desire to reshape society in their image.
BLMac, I wonder with you – child protection should be shouting this down , police should be investigating and newspapers should be bringing it to everyone’s attention and not in nice way either.
Where’s the church , what’s it got to say or have they given up on Adam and Eve too?
my old grandad was hilarious, he used to come out with all this “mad shit”
– all english are poufs
– all tories are paedos
oh how we laughed … !
– that subsequently turned out to be right. Jimmy Saville, Cambridge, le vice anglais, the public schools, the royal navy, the grand tour, the marsh arabs (closet case Maxwell with an otter Thesiger gave him), tangiers, sir richard burton, gordon of khartoum, leggy mountbottom – all as bent as a dog’s hind leg with a 3 bob note tied to it. His consequent argument for independence : why do you want to be ruled for eternity by english tory paedo poufs? – strikes without challenge; maybe it becomes our slogan next time.

“getting shafted by the state” is no mere metaphor.
great blackmail material, and who is to say – a lot of UK politicians have not been compromised in this manner. A wider goal might simply be normalisation, since noncing is such a popular elite hobby.
– with this “pride” shit everywhere, no one has to sneak around anymore. This strand of evil goes back a long way, as long as you want, but it always had to sneak around, but progressing “sexual liberation” as a civil rights movement, with added moral superiority, threatens to make it all mainstream, mandated, the new orthodoxy.
another glossed over story, the man who was a serious gangster/crim but who never did any jailtime, in Scotland, a land of secrets, where evidence goes missing and documents are sealed longer than the cabinet
the bay city rollers, the teenage dream team, all getting bummed senseless by tam, and their money stolen into the bargain; a brilliant metaphor for Scotland itself, its ruling class a gang of catamites.
Anton Decadent: “Eight year olds, Dude.”
Yes, the PIEmen haven’t gone away since the 70s, only grown in power through careful “product placement” throughout our political structure.
Our political “culture” is sick and beyond redemption.
A judicial review would be pointless ,every one of our services have been captured by this madness including the justice system and police Scotland, as to what the police are doing about this, they are currently busy investigating and charging people for using hurty words and when they have time they are busy polishing their pride badges for the next parade of deviance and perversion
The ONLY people who can do anything about this and the waspi ,heating allowance, immigration, arms sales and loans and donations to warring countries, overseas aid while our kids are starving and homeless, donations to countries where the leadership is buying luxury homes, energy prices ripoff, TAX avoidance and evasion ALL of these things and more are THE PEOPLE, WE either REBEL or STFU and take ALL the shite these parasitical shitehawks throw at us
Unity is strength, disagreement and confrontation wins, acceptance is cowardice

“Where’s the church , what’s it got to say”
If such institutions have nothing to say on the most critical national and societal matter, that of liberating the people from colonial oppression, it should come as little surprise to find they have little to say on other arguably lesser matters.
What we find in a colony is that all the institutions are colonial. This is inevitable because, in a colony, the native people are “represented among the colonized by colonialists” (Memmi). Colonial institutions are about protecting the racket, not destroying it.
We may recall the Church of Scotland also had its privileges protected in the Articles of the mankit Treaty of Union, as did the legal fraternity and certain other elite groups. And, like other colonial institutions, seems content to celebrate an gie allegiance tae a furrin croun, and a monarch niver crouned King o Scots.
Ach, I’m jist looking at this in the longer term now which is basically just self-selecting eugenics and removing folk dumb enough to give credence to all this born in the wrong body gender pish from the future gene pool.
In any other walk of life fucking with nature tends to bite you on the arse big time.
I’ve far more interest in scrutiny of our energy resources which appear to be getting evermore captured by foreign interests.
But nobody seem to give a fuck about that because the circus of seeing a rainbow coloured bare arsed dildo sporting monkey around kids catches more people’s attention and distracts them from being fiscally shafted.
Sensible folk see the gender pish as nonsense, far better use of time to court the majority of sensible folk who are more likely to be rational thinkers and consider the positives of returning Scotland to self-governance, rather than try to deal with the minority of insane people who have bought into genderwoowoo.
Another betrayal from the SNP – a common occurrence now.
“John Swinney has dumped the Government’s commitment to universal free school meals for every primary school pupil.”
@RoS 7.02: Globalists got to do wot they’re told to, to crush the people aka ” worthless eaters” (but not the Royal Family, etc, obvs.).
Any primary school teacher will tell you that free school meals are a necessity in Scotland. We’re a colonially-impoverised, energy-rich country because of the inevitable consequences of the 1707 Union.
Maybe some of these teachers could let Swiney (sp.) know.
Not that he’d listen…
The children will be fodder for dangerously sexualized men. Lots of money to be made, too by the corporates. The children, when they grow up, will be marginalized from all but their own kind – mutants without penis and testicles but only a ‘hole’ and hormone-induced moobs , or, if females, without breasts, but with muscles, hairy chests and a vagina or a rotting piece of arm flesh dangling between their legs. All animals and birds are also in grave danger from this kind of exploitation, too. Eventually, none of this will be illegal or even considered deviant or a perversion – unless, of course, something happens to concentrate minds. Unbelievable.liev able what has happen ed to the SNP.

“Where’s the church , what’s it got to say”
Unfurling their Pride Flags & desecrating alters up & down the country.
Abandoned to the madness. Idle hands are Satan’s workshop as they say…
I mentioned before Michael S Rose, the investigative jurno who broke the Catholic Church sex scandals (Goodbye, Good men) & it’s the exact same methods & tactics used. It details the complete capture of the American seminaries by liberals. Originally joining the priesthood for celibacy all that lead to was a raving gay club who manoeuvred themselves into positions of power & to “eject” the good ones or make their life a living hell & persecute & belittle them until they’d just leave altogether. Over 150 first hand accounts of what went on there & with the gay scene, that community attracts all sorts & anything goes.
The Anglican church, Church of England didn’t stop the same takeover tho & went even further. Lesbians put into positions & pushing now for their ‘Trans Siblings’ to be included & adorning every church they come into contact with Pride paraphernalia under the guise they’re ppl of God. They’re now onboard with the whole Trans cult. They’re completely captured & as Stu has written about before in an article on this site not that long ago, these are the very ‘church elders’ the Scottish government pulls in for feedback/consultation/ TV interview for their batshit policies & ideas. The very “religious group” that is already on their side in pushing this shit so it’s a lost cause for moral input.
The Catholic Church opposes this shit but the chances of them being asked an opinion by government are nil.
& What Alf says too.
If funding is involved then that’s another way to capture various organisations as we seen by the farce of the consultation they held at Holyrood. Only biased opinions were heard & everyone else was ignored & may as well not bothered turning up.
“ a production-line medical abattoir for children “ says it all. Thank you Stuart for telling us the god-awful truth. It seems like something out of the Third Reich, when Josef Mengele, the Nazi doctor of Auschwitz, aka the Angel of Death, conducted medical experiments on inmates. Same thing really, i.e. the corruption of medical ethics, the denial of basic humanity and the practice of ruthless experimentation.
The end objectives of gender reassignment are double mastectomies for girls and castration for boys which are irreversible. The explicit intention of developing an overt split between parent and child has been shaped by years of planning to enable institutionalising the grooming of children into the “ transgender” movement. Our schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, police etc have become completely subservient to the “ transgender” ideology and compliant with the appalling indoctrination. The BMA is to disavow the Cass Report.
The biggest pushback is coming from gay people, gays against groomers, who know that they could have been victims themselves. It may be that one way forward is to take legal action against, for example, individual headteachers whose “transgender “ policies are causing forseeable and extremely detrimental harms.
Parents have to be on the ball here and cannot assume their child will be safe from dangerous indoctrination and “ transgender” madness. They need to encourage open debate within their families and understand the law as well as showing love and compassion. Our children have been made fearful about their future, the hysteria around climate change, the COVID lockdowns, terrifying the entire population and germophobia. No wonder there is an explosion of psychological distress amongst children and young people.
Our politicians are morally corrupt, complicit in promoting the pernicious “transgender” ideology and knowingly abusing and harming our children. Our society has become anti-intellectual, pro fantasy and anti facts, forcing diversity and creating divisions.
“ Establish a malignant growth and watch the gangrene bloom”
It wouldn’t surprise me if it was part of the plan to be rid of schools altogether. Pushing parents into home schooling & only those & such as those able to afford a private tutor receiving an education.
Same way they’d love to drain the NHS & push ppl into private healthcare. Thatchers dream.
The Tories are practically orgasmic at the thought of a return to the 1940s. A price tag on everything & where poor ppl just fckd off & died – preferably after they’ve finished their shift & before payday lol.
They’ve already ushered back slavery & poor ppl dissuaded from voting. All we need now is ration book.
Your headline is spot on, Stuart. This is not health care, it is health abuse. Abuse of the individual (who has no physical illness), abuse of the health service whose purpose is to remedy sickness, not amplify it, and abuse of power by politicians who implement policies which harm society immeasurably and drive families apart. And with Scotland’s birth rate plummeting, why are the SNP so beholden to an infertility cult?
Here’s an extract of a quote just made by Pete Wishart. Made in relation to the period after the referendum he said,
“There was a point we probably should have done that work at that point, but it was the good times.
“Now we are left in the situation where things aren’t so good and we are starting a bit more seriously to look at where we are and try to learn lessons.”
What planet is this clown on to think that the SNP are in a situation where times are so good. How did he work that out.
Or what about the sharp observation that the SNP need to start looking a bit more seriously at where they are and “try” to learn lessons.
Obviously deveststed membership, the clear out of the majority of their MPs, near party bankruptcy, and empty conferences has told this boy little.
Tells you all you need to know about where he and the remnants of a once great party are going, and going soon.
Pishy slippers is always a dead cert to say the silent part out loud.
This was the clown who repeatedly told us all there was no rush. Maneuvers were happening in the background. We don’t let our enemies know our plans yadda, yadda.
What these losers don’t seem to grasp is that a mandate was a CLEAR INSTRUCTION from the electorate to exit. It wasn’t to hang about enjoying the good times. Good times for whom exactly? That plastic gentrified loser & his all you can eat subsidized buffets.
It’s not rocket science. They took an entire electorate for mugs & to add insult to injury they gave two fucking unelected space cadets full control of Holyrood to slip in their depraved gender queer policies cause they knew fine well the public would never vote for this shite at the ballot box. He knows this so to pretend they dunno where they went wrong is just more insulting to voters.
Whoever is paying him to write shite really needs to stop. Whoever rigged Perth to give this plonker a seat in WM wants sacking.
AS SOCIETIES grow decadent, the language grows decadent, too.
Words are used to disguise, not to illuminate, action: you liberate a city by destroying it. Words are to confuse, so that at election time people will solemnly vote against their own interests.
[Gore Vidal]
My eight year old granddaughter came home from her Highlands primary school the other day, and announced that she thinks being pansexual would be cool. My daughter is busy countering the indoctrination, but I wager most parents aren’t aware of what’s happening, or aren’t fussed.
@ Ian McCubbin at 1.37pm: You’re years behind the times. It’s been “goodbye independence” ever since Sturgeon gained the leadership of the SNP. The SNP is now so catastrophically damaged that even if it were to suddenly abandon its woke/gender ideology and boot out its advocates, and make independence its first and foremost priority, it’s far, far too late.
So the Progressive Golden Age brought in by Nikla is over, and the SNP are maneuvering to soften the new programme of austerity that Labour are going to initiate by stealing Robert Kennedy Jr’s idea to focus on children. Kudos for deftness, but it won’t take the country one step closer to independence.
To see why, this, https://aurelien2022.substack.com/p/the-machine-stops is worth a read. It takes a bit of digesting and it’s slow going, at least initially, but towards the end you realise that “independence”, while the answer to many troubles cannot possibly be captured by a single party. You can see how Salmond tried to broaden the base by demonstrating competence in government, then the SNP under Sturgeon, threw it all away by narrowing the focus to appeal to people with less than conventional, life-styles.
Bringing back Salmond won’t make any difference since the cohort of competent people he could marshall simply don’t exist. If independence if going to be put back on the agenda, it’s going to have to come from many different directions. It can only be the end result, not a starting point. That rules out anything like the SNP ever existing again.
My recent post from elsewhere: (On one view perhaps see it as a method of obtaining the settled will, in an alternative see it as a peaceful non-disruptive act of civil-disobedience) In either all signed Declaraions are lodged for safe-keeping at the HQ of the UN.
Post reads:
The Declaration of an individual Sovereign Scot – its purpose – to regain the independence of Scotland.
Let it never be a call for unity, but always a call for – unity of purpose. A call for – the unity of purpose to end the union and regain Scotland’s independence. Please don’t let’s kid ourselves that all those of us who seek Scotland’s independence are all the same, we simply aren’t, we never will be, and that is just exactly as it should be. We are Scots – wha’s like us? But if like me you are determined to regain our country’s independence, that and that alone must be – our unity of purpose.
I used the photo of a Baby Box yesterday and asked if the child it would harbour would grow up and live in an independent Scotland. The answer to that question is dependent on us, on you and on me but crucially on whether we share that single common – unity of purpose. Do we – can we?
The Declaration initiative does not ask if you are a member of a political party or none, it simply asks if you will sign your name to your Declaration to end the union, and regain Scotland’s independence and tell the world of your decision.
It takes just “20 Seconds” to sign – that’s it! Over the coming months I will journey all over Scotland, with blank Declaration forms. I will post details of where and when once they are established – these two are (more will follow):
Saturday 7th September – at the Scottish Parliament Building. Edinburgh.
Saturday 14th September – Freedom Square, Glasgow at the Hope over Fear rally.
Has self-certified victim of Borderline Personality Disorder and survivor of PTSD, Emma Roddick proclaimed on this?
Dropping the proposed ban on Trans, Conversion Therapy is clearly a disgusting betrayal of the most victimised, vulnerable and repressed element of society in the entire history of the world (copyright every grifting exponent of Poststructural toxin ever spawned by the John Smith Centre).
But seriously, Roddick could transfer to the top of the Green, regional ticket for the H & I’s. The current incumbent of that position (Ariana Burgess) blotted her copybook with wee Pat when she went against his edict denouncing wood burning stoves in rural Scotland to be tantamount to ecological Armageddon. Still, I am sure Ariana has nothing to be concerned about, it’s not as if Pat is a petty and vindictive wee gnome who would harbour a grudge and stab her in the back at the soonest opportunity.
My poor wee head aches trying to weigh/juggle the legal ferrets struggling to be free.
Branchform, Broadcroft, the now not sisted Salmond case, the possibility of a Sturgeon-appointed top Legal position no longer in an SNP the Cabinet, that perjury enquiry, the Hirst case – it’s all too much.
And then there’s Holyrood machinations.
I seem to be bleeding from my ears.
Detectives investigating Nicola Sturgeon over the SNP’s finances have asked prosecutors for directions on the next steps in their inquiry.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On 9 August, we presented the findings of the investigation so far to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service and we await their direction on what further action should be taken.”
The Crown Office said the police report is under consideration.
” Senior Crown Office lawyers are considering whether there is sufficient evidence to prosecute Mr Murrell and whether it would be in the public interest to do so.”
WHY would it NOT BE in the public’s interests to prosecute wee Pete (The Magpie) for embezzling people’s money, is the crown office pfs going to have that same trepidation and anxiety when it comes to St.NIKLA or Bulging Beatty
Is the disappearance, theft or embezzlement of £600,000+ such a trivial amount that COPFS just can’t be bothered to prosecute
I suppose when you have prosecuters deliberately and willfully conducting malicious prosecutions which is COSTING Scottish Taxpayers in excess of £100,000,000 to compensate victims of their VILE actions it shouldn’t be surprising that our judiciary insist that they have the determination of what the public should be told
The media like the bbc like to maintain that our governance and justice is fair and honest and are so quick to denigrate and demean other countries when their systems are corrupt and vile totally ignoring the irony of the endemic lies and corruption within our establishments
I couldn’t care less about the SNP.
It is their legacy to be remembered as the incompetent betrayers of Scottish Independence; those responsible for delivering the Union from its greatest existential crisis in over 300 years. Tr@itors.
Let them squabble at the trough of Holyrood for whatever slops and swill the corrupt Westminster Government will put in front of them. Give Tr@itor Blackford his peerage, and Traitor Wishart his prominant Speakers role in the belly of Scotland’s enemy. Build their statues strong, so their infamy endures like modern Dukes of Sutherland.
“Their” world, the world Scotland is shackled to, is on a collapsing trajectory.
For decades, their grotesque NeoLiberalism has gutted the Western World of it’s industry, capacity, creativity, innovation and skill, and plundered “our” resources through insatiable corporate greed. Generations of priceless father to son expertise and wisdom squandered overnight to better gild the palaces of the miniscule few. What value in unfulfilled potential?
BRICS is coming for them.
Who can say? Maybe a BRICS world will turn out to be as depraved and corrupt as their NeoLiberal Globalism. I doubt it, but even if that was our collective fate, it still won’t stop the big wheel turning. It won’t save their high priests.
BRICS won’t destroy them. It won’t have to. The BRICS weapon of mass destruction will be a simple and rather ordinary closed door.
Scotland could have stood apart from this; been bold, and taken the lead, built bridges. But come our brief moment in the spotlight, the silly wee b*tch called for a no fly zone and military escalation.
Not sure what we should build her statue out of. I have my own ideas, but apparently you can’t polish it.

It’s unbelievable the transformation taking place with investments & trade.
That BRICS university sounds awesome. Professors in science, cutting edge technologies, economics & development – actually drawing on each BRICS members skills & teaching their own young citizens how to run their own country with immediate results in a whole host of areas & it will be a National institution owned by their own country. Venezuela the latest to say they’ll be establishing a scientific Uni.
A far cry from queer bullshit & political sciences.
I don’t think BRICS would be petty. They’ve all had their differences in the past & seem to work through them rather than go spark up an invasion & issuing sanctions – how refreshing LOL
No member who issues sanctions is allowed to join.
Little England is going down. It’s parasitic & everybody knows it. It can’t ever mend its colonising ways. It’s meddling in U has sealed its fate. To stay chained to that country would be condemning Scotland to stay with what will become a pariah state.
We seemed to have acquired a host of folk who don’t realise that so many small countries are happily independent , so many countries glad to see the back of the Britain never wanting to return to her crippling embrace, yet so keen for Scotland to remain a cowed ,asset stripped annex.
It surprises me that they come to sites that support Scottish independence to spew their ill thought through ramblings. One might be forgiven for thinking they were trying to disrupt or that they had been banned from the Daily Mail/Express – though to be fair that would be something of an accolade in my book.
RE Police Scotland asking the Crown Office for guidance on “Branchform” and other cases and Unionists screaming that these two agencies are Scottish and nothing to do with Westminster,Whitehall,MI5 etc I would remind you all that every single rank or position of authority in Police Scotland,Crown Office including PF Service,Civil Service etc is vetted and approved by the Ministry of Defence which the last time I checked was the London heart of the British Empire!!!

Aye, the yoons took a leaf out of Satan’s book. The greatest trick it pulls is to claim it doesn’t exist.
It meddles in every country around the globe, from overthrowing governments to starting wars, yet we’re expected to believe it doesn’t do any of that covert shit in Scotland. The source of not only its income but it’s status on the world stage.
Aye, right LMAO.
It polluted NI for decades & funded the troubles. It’s what it does. It can’t help itself.

Yes, a colonial assembly is merely a talking shop to keep the natives ‘occupied’ with local matters. Real power aye lies elsewhere.
As George Osborne once noted, Scotland is held tight by what he called ‘the arms of the British state’, which is the Crown (police and COPFS) and Civil service. Recent and ongoing cases illustrate the way the racket works, who is protected and who is persecuted. As Frantz Fanon said, “colonialism is force”.
A co-opted national party become department administrators handing out the wages of colonialism to the same elites and groups year after year; what Cesaire called ‘the watchdogs of colonialism’. Colonialism is ‘democracy without power’, or justice.
John said;
“Stop blaming it on England. The UK would never have existed without our parcel of rogues.”
Indeed, John, and our parcel of rogues in the Union’s parliament have no business letting the English rogues in that place overrule them on any matter of governance. England’s MPs have no legitimate authority over Scotland or her MPs whatsoever, because nothing in the Treaty or its associated Acts gave them any.
England’s huge MP numbers only reflect its population size, not its rank in a pretended chain of authority. Scotland is NOT the junior partner in the Union, and its sovereign authority as a kingdom in a union of only two sovereign kingdoms is of exactly equal rank with England’s. As such, England’s dominance in the Union’s parliament is completely unwarranted, and there is no formal agreement for it in its founding documents.
Our MPs need to remind their MPs of that constitutional truth every bloody day, and we need to remind ours of that responsibility every bloody day!
First past the Post is a seriously UNFAIR voting system. It should not be used at all, let alone nationally, nor inside the parliament.
But with only two voting bodies, Scottish and English, either both votes agree in favour or against, or they differ, with no majority either way. That’s as fair as it can get.

Interesting development, I wonder if bringing about an election in the short term could be the SNP’s mechanism to ensure it’s own survival long term. Yes, they would absolutely lose seats and probably the government, however, as Ruby laid out above there are many bad news days to come for the party between now and 2026. Add to that what Ian McGubbin pointed out, that an election now would catch the alternative indy-groups out as theyre not yet in a position to seriously challenge the SNP yet, and UK labour firing austerity at Scottish labour’s feet (as Scottie Dog noted), maybe the SNP leadership see that this is a more favourable environment for an electipn than 2026 could be.
Do the party leaders expect being a strong opposition presence to be preferable to whatever fate they have projected for themselves in 2026?

“Xaracen.
So are the MPs in Scotland sitting in a Scottish parliament which would end the 1707 treaty of union,
Or are they sitting in a second parliament and second government of Great Britain?
Which would also end the 1707 treaty of union.”
Hi, James. The MPs all sit in Westminster, which is the Union parliament. Scotland’s MPs represent the Scottish half of the Union, and as such are the only body in Westminster entitled to wield the sovereign authority of the Kingdom of Scotland on its behalf. They do not represent the old Scottish parliament, they are the old Scottish parliament in effect, just relocated to Westminster. In exactly the same sense, England’s MPs also are the old English parliament, but they didn’t need to relocate because the new Union parliament occupies the same premises.
There is only one Union parliament, but it is a dual parliament because of the two different representations of the two different sovereign kingdoms.
This means the two bodies of MPs at Westminster are each formally representing only one of the two Treaty partners, both of which are still legally distinct kingdoms despite English establishment propaganda pretending otherwise. The House of Lords Privileges Committee some years ago confirmed this to be the case.
The new Scottish parliament at Holyrood is not a Union parliament, but it serves two masters; Westminster, and the Scottish electorate, and that electorate is sovereign under Scotland’s Treaty-guaranteed constitution. All of its MSPs (not MPs) are elected solely by that sovereign electorate, and the stated purpose of that Scottish parliament is specifically to serve them, and NOT Westminster.
It is therefore perfectly reasonable to argue that the Scottish parliament is subject to Scotland’s constitution while it sits in Scotland, and is required to serve its own sovereign Scottish electorate, and it must answer to them before it answers to Westminster, because the highest authority in Scotland is its sovereign electorate. That’s what sovereignty means.
The Great ScotWind Giveaway, by Sturgeon the Judas – has cost Scots dearly.
“JOHN Swinney’s order for a major review of a state organ behind a controversial major renewables project should be read as an “admission” of the scheme’s “failure”, a top think tank has said.
The Scottish Government has ordered a root-and-branch review of Crown Estate Scotland, the public body tasked with overseeing the ScotWind auction.
The auction saw major firms get stakes in potentially lucrative green energy projects in the Scottish seas – at prices critics have said were well below what they were worth.
Research by the Common Weal think tank showed that had a price cap of £100,000 not been imposed on bids, the Scottish Government could have raked in tens of billions to boost its spending power.
It comes after Finance Secretary Shona Robison (above) revealed she was planning to raid what was left of the money raised to cover day-to-day spending, such as the Scottish Government’s wage bill, when the cash was supposed to have been invested in big renewable energy projects.
Craig Dalzell, the head of policy and research at the respected Common Weal think tank, said: “I welcome the admission that the Scottish Government needs to review its governance model for Crown Estate Scotland, especially in light of the ongoing failure that was the ScotWind auction and the subsequent loss of the long term wealth fund that could have been secured by it.”
Dalzell has previously authored research which found that had Scotland followed the lead of New York in its renewables auction, the country could have earned £16.4 billion “in a single payment”.
If it had replicated conditions imposed by the UK Government in England, the Scottish Government could have stood to gain up to £28bn over the course of a decade, the research found.”
Hard hitting article Mia, thanks. It really brings home the absurdity of the situation we find ourselves in. There will still be those however who either continue to stick their fingers in their ears or else accuse you of the usual transphobia.
so, what do you call a man with no legs? a low down bum of course
Thank You Mia – for that excellent article – surely there must be laws against the perverting of children’s minds – minds that are not yet fully aware, of the dangers and long term effects of irreversibly damaging their young bodies.
These children, and young adults are being groomed – what else can it be – when children, are being bombarded with images and literature – that if they don’t feel themselves over a period of time – that they can take drugs, and have surgeries that will have a negative affect on the for all their lives.
Scots didn’t vote for this – and several polls including some by the Rev, shows the majority of Scots are against this; we never gave any politician at Holyrood, the right to push this sickening agenda – an agenda that is surrounded by secrecy in schools – and where parents can be excluded from knowing what his or her children are doing in school – with regards to this.
This MUST be stopped.
Grand article highlighting the continued insanity of it all.
The treatment of mental conditions such as limb dysphoria and anorexia have been used in the past to compare how some abnormal mental states aren’t treated in ways that exacerbate harm and validate an individual’s delusion.

Genderwoowoo social contagion has spread this far because way to many folk spend way too much of their time on internet getting exposed to this shite.
What a waste of what could be so many fulfilling and rewarding lives packed full of doing all manner of different things to fill your time and stimulate the mind. But no, sitting on your arse melting your brain with shit seems to be the norm for so many folk these days.
Some folk need to get a fucking job, or just go do something that doesn’t involve sitting on the internet and being so self-absorbed.
Anyway, on that note I’m aff t’internet noo and back to the house renovation to mark and cut more multi-angled sheets of plasterboard before taping and filling them. Strange thing is that when I use my brain and body to do actual productive work and not miss-cut expensive boards to wrong size, I don’t have a minute spare to obsess over my genitals or pronouns…
shockerooney of the moment (apart from the everyday horror) is the guy who drugged his wife and got 50 dudes to r4pe her while he presumably cracked one off in the corner …

And the poor woman, had no clue what was going on, thought she was in a successful marriage, with a loving husband.
Funnily enough, I was just thinking on this very matter the other day,and comparing it (in my own thoughts) with the gender business.
I’m 70 years old, still out at work every day, and meeting and doing business with many people. There are still so many good, able clever and decent people in the country, that you really believe none of this shit could ever happen.
And then, you witness the clapping seals at the SNP “conference” responding as they did to that poor, deranged and disturbed man who addressed the meeting in the way that he did, and you can see just exactly how it might happen.
I know that old people always say thing like, “I’m glad I’m the age I am” and, “aye, we saw the best if it” but Jeez I think we did.
How in heavens name do we find ourselves where we now are?
When surgery does not address a physical illness then, as Mia’s excellent article makes abundantly clear, it is nothing more than butchery.
What a truly excellent article. It really makes the point very clearly about the absolute absurdity of kids having healthy body parts removed.
Those responsible for pushing this mutilation of gender surgery and toxic drugs (which get fluffily described as puberty blockers*), to kids will I hope one day get put in jail.
Kids do crazy things. They think crazy things. That is why they have parents, to make responsible choices for them. One day they think they are a dog, the next they are a rabbit. But, according to the loony gender cult, if your daughter one day thinks she is a boy, you, as the parent are evil for not agreeing. Indeed, you are breaking the law if you do not supports them in taking extremely toxic drugs that block NATURAL physiological and anatomical development.
Imagine that, with no physical disease process, giving your healthy children drugs that will stop their growth and development, blocking testosterone and oestrogen in developing bodies. And not one shred of evidence to support it. How absurd! How utterly barbaric.
*For example, the popular ‘puberty blocker’, Leuprolide acetate – also available as Lupron, is firstly, a well known treatment for prostate cancer in adult males. It has significant side effects – as do most cancer treatments. It is recognised as a puberty blocker, in specific, very rare, recognised MEDICAL conditions in children, such as precocious puberty. It is well known and has been demonstrated that it is effective in such conditions. Their are however, no properly conducted studies showing it (or any other ‘puberty blocker’) as effective in treating gender dysphoria in children. NONE. That, in a nutshell, is what the CASS report said. To give them to a healthy child is absurd, and child abuse.
Earlier today was my mum’s funeral, a cremation. Not a huge affair, only close family were there.
Church – crematorium – hotel for a wee spread and some drinks.
Our nieces were there. Aged 18, 16 and 13.
They lost their mum (my sister) less than two years ago. She had suffered a glioma, endured two operations to remove as much of the growth as possible, then forswore chemo and managed to survive another three years. Most glioma victims (we were told) are lucky to live another year – our sis got almost four.
Her girls were all still at school when she fell ill. The two youngest still are. Her man did his best, his workplace was great, her old workplace was great, everyone was great. But it was only ever going to end one way and duly did, Christmas before last.
Those girls have lived a hefty percentage of their young lives knowing that their mum was dying but unsure precisely when it might happen. And then their gran, who was closer to their mum than any of the rest of us, died a little more than 18 months later.
Their Dad got remarried only 17 months after our sister’s funeral. We don’t know how long he’d been seeing her. Everyone who knows him, including his own parents, told him not to do it. It was too soon. He lost all of his friends. We can only assume that many of her family felt likewise.
There’s no doubt he had suffered over the previous years, watching his wife deteriorate. But his behaviour has been called out by everyone who knows him. And still the girls are with him, now joined by two of his new wife’s four children.
He has flagrantly broken every promise he made to my sister.
So, what’s the point of spilling all this?
Today we discovered that the ‘middle’ niece has decided that she may be a boy. Her waist -length curly dark hair has been chopped into a crude bob. She intends to have some tattoos as soon as she’s ‘legal’.
Her Dad announced this to my brother, almost as an aside, at the post-cremation gathering. And his presentation of this news (entirely unsolicited) was little more than what he perceives to be a kind of virtue-signalling. His words to my brother, as quoted to me, were ‘She’s a trans now but that’s okay because she’s my lass and I love her and nothing will ever change that.’
That sounds fair enough, doesn’t it? Well, he obviously thinks so. Because he’s a narcissistic prick and everything, even someone else’s distress – even his own daughter’s distress – has to somehow reflect well on him.
And that’s why I’m writing this to you, partly in response to Mia’s article but also because I can’t say it to anyone else. There is such confusion around the whole subject that many of us daren’t even raise it for fear of hurting people we love who have already suffered more grief than we ever will.
Young people who are hurt and confused, betrayed by their own nearest and dearest, don’t deserve this shit. Not only the manipulation by ‘Big Pharma’ and arsehole politicians who will sign-up for whatever’s put in front of them, but those in their lives who are supposed to love and protect them but happily ignore clear signs of mental/emotional distress if it can be ‘sold’ to concerned relatives as some form of progressive therapy.
This is all very difficult to try and explain but I’ve had as good a stab as I can manage and am now quite pissed and getting angry again so I’ll leave it for now and hope it resonates with others.
We have to stop this insanity or it will devour us.
Thanks very much for that, Mia.
Just when I thought my view of some doctors/surgeons couldn’t get any lower post-Covid, your article reminded me that many simply can’t be trusted (and some psychiatrists also).
There was a very good reason that the 1947 Nuremberg Code was created, given the likes of Mengele.
For anyone my age with grand-children (let alone parents with children) all this is deeply worrying.
Little wonder that many people globally think that the Collective West is simply sick.
Evil seems to be stalking the world, frankly.
That article packs a very powerful punch, Mia, and illustrates, by juxta positioning the two illnesses that they are really the same, but manifested differently. Because it is, fundamentally, a mental illness at its most extreme, those who suffer from it cannot and will not be dissuaded from carrying out the most grotesque self-mutilations.
What is the most disturbing aspect of all this is the fact that cross-dressing, adult, heterosexual men set this trend. They very quickly latched on to the fact that young women and children are very susceptible to social contagion, and, when they realized (via Stonewall), about 2013, that they were not going to be accepted as they were, they rapidly invented the TWAW mantra to cover all bases.
The ‘trans’ child is the perfect ‘proof’ that ‘trans’ exists; the young women, actually regarded and treated with contempt by these men, are the perfect answer to the ‘it’s all men’ accusation. It is, however, at its very basic level, all men, all heterosexual men (apart from the homosexual ‘trans’) and almost all retain their bits while the females and children lose theirs or their childhood and young adulthood are destroyed through puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
Of course the loss of a limb is a fetish – and a sexual one – because there appears to be no limit to the sexual fetishes and paraphilias that men can have. Some are utterly sickening and disgusting and vomit-inducing; others are minor to begin with and can be reinforced and expanded by the use of extreme and violent p**n. We are, indeed, living in a very dark time and the sun has been blotted out by the dark clouds.
The very worst aspect of all of this are the sycophantic TRAs, and I include in their number, most of those who make up the parliamentary SNP, Greens, Lib Dems, Labour and even Tories, many of their staff and even some civil servants. All parties voted this stuff through Holyrood and have agreed, like nodding donkeys, to award many millions to ‘trans’ groups, seeded throughout civil society while children go hungry and most working-class families are just getting by and no more.
No scientific evidence exists that ‘trans’ is real, that ‘gender dysphoria’ is anything other than body dysmorphia that can be treated, yet millions are being pumped into these organizations that are contaminating our entire civil society. We can see when someone is ill, we can see when someone has been beaten up, we can try to find forensic evidence when someone claims to have been raped, we know when someone has been murdered. We do not know, and cannot know, what someone is harbouring in his or her mind who claims to be something he or she can never be. All we can know is that biology and science – and, if we are sane people, our own instinct – all deny the existence of ‘trans’. Our innate instinct, honed over millennia also prompt us to fear this unreality as dangerous to us and our society – and we should be listening.

NO Psychiatrists can be trusted as their “profession” is total QUACKERY of made up mental illnesses As I have said on here before go and watch documentaries such as Psychiatry An Industry Of Death on Youtube totally exposing this FACT and it is these QUACKS that are coming out with such DRIVEL as this Trans crap and all of this crap coming from our governments and health service etc around it as well that Stu is reporting on.
The entire medical system is QUACKERY created by the Rockefellers etc to serve and create massive profits for their Drug Companies and Doctors are just simply well-paid Drug Dealers who are brainwashed into thinking that diseases and viruses are real and then they dish out toxic drugs depending on the symptoms that they think relate to a disease and these toxic drugs just simply mask those symptoms and create more symptoms of another “disease” and the cycle continues until the people get old and are rattling with all of the different toxic drugs they are taking every day – those that manage to get old that is. The doctors also go along with the jabbing of babies, children and old and also everyone else now with this covid scam with millions dead via strokes, heart attacks and turbo cancers etc and millions more disabled and seriously injured – over 1300 serious injuries and death that Pfizer reported in their files that they were forced to release by a US court after they tried to get that report covered up for 75 years.
All of the other so called pandemics were FAKE as well – HIV/AIDS was a trial for the covid scam where the millions that died during that were actually killed by the toxic failed chemo drugs AZT – FACT is there are NO such things as viruses and NOT one single bit of EVIDENCE anywhere on this planet that they exist – go to the website Flouride Free Peel for hundreds of FOIs from governments/health boards all over the world showing they have NO evidence they exist. The VIROLOGIST Dr Stefan Lanka actually proved this using the Measles as an example in the German Supreme Court in 2017 and he along with the Perth Group of experts in Australia were totally exposing the HIV/AIDS scam while that was going on and Dr Stefan Lanka along with many other doctors such as Dr Sam Bailey and her husband Dr Mark Bailey, Dr Tom Cowan, Dr Andrew Kaufman etc have been exposing the covid/virus scam as well. Excellent books that totally expose the virus scam and quack medical system :
Virus Mania How The Medical Industry Continually Invents Epidemics Making Billion Dollar Profits At Our Expense.
The Final Pandemic An Antidote To Medical Tyranny – Dr Mark Bailey & Dr Samantha Bailey.
Can You Catch A Cold Untold History & Human Experiments – Daniel Roytas.
Deadly Medicines And Organised Crime – How Big Pharma Has Corrupted Healthcare – Peter C Gotzsche.
What Really Makes You Ill – Why Everything You Thought You Knew About Disease Is Wrong – Dawn Lester & David Parker.
By the way everything about WW2 is LIES and PROPAGANDA to steer people away from the TRUTH about that war and the Nuremberg TRIBUNAL was NOT a Trial and all of the “evidence” presented was made up and the Germans were TORTURED into “confessing” and then this “evidence” and “confessions” were used to convict them and then they were MURDERED by hanging etc to steer the people away from the TRUTH about this war and the REAL atrocities carried out by the Allies. Just like the LIES about Mengele as well. The British historian David Irving is one of many who have exposed this with millions of us worldwide having the EVIDENCE proving everything that we are saying as being the TRUTH that they block and hide online so that you have to hunt for it. The victors always write the history especially when it is all part of an agenda.
I must have picked this video up off a wings retweet but I was watching this yesterday – Mia discussing this on youtube.

Really very interesting indeed.
I brought this up years ago (although maybe not on here). There was an old TV documentary about it, Apotemnophilia (people wanting to have a limb amputated for no tangible reason), many years ago which blew my mind at the time. In that it was typically a leg below the knee. (One guy flew to South America to have it done.)
When all the trans stuff started I remember saying how it really reminded me of them… well I didn’t realize how much there was to that.
This is really disturbing. My own view is that any self mutilation should be a clear signal of mental illness.
Problem is there are so many ‘grey areas’, unnecessary plastic surgeries, circumcision, piercings, people making themselves into devils, cats, you fucking name it. It is an epidemic… And all these lesser things kind of help ‘normalize’ it. (You could throw abortions in there as well given the scale of it now.)
As I say I find it all very disturbing. Like being surrounded by insane people. And it is going to get worse.

Bravo. Alas, erasing the past is a fundamental tenet of the neo-liberals. Whether that opens the doors to trans, and transhumanism in general or is now an intrinsic part of the ideology remains to be seen. A neo-liberial society certainly enables individuals to do what they please, as long as they can pay for it.
You’ve mentioned this before, but don’t forget that political parties are also strapped for cash and that leaves them receptive to oligarchs and well funded NGOs to push for legislation that furthers the trans and transhumanist agenda.
“Young people who are hurt and confused, betrayed by their own nearest and dearest, don’t deserve this shit. Not only the manipulation by ‘Big Pharma’ and arsehole politicians who will sign-up for whatever’s put in front of them, but those in their lives who are supposed to love and protect them.”
Rab. I’m sorry to read about the loss of your sister and mother. Rest in peace.
Your niece deserves to know the truth. Her father is a narcissist who’s walked away with another woman, and has invited two new children to invade their home. There is no love from him. You need to tell her she’s not trans or get your wife to. Even if it means losing your relationship with this asshole.

This is an excellent piece on how Hollywood is an integral part of the * Woke * attack on reality and insidious attempt to undermine and devalue the Archetypes that underlie all human behaviour and values .
As you’ll see if you read the piece , it ends on a positive note ; namely these attempts are failing and will ultimately be unsuccessful
‘allo John got a new …..loada shite to serve to the dumb-fucks ?
@ Gravelli P – ” Such men do not lead nations to independence.
Guess that’s why he was appointed. ” . Exactly why he was appointed .
Just as Sturgeon’s tenure was a 9 year ” holding operation ” , ie holding the Independence Movement / movement towards Independence on a leash while more obstacles were put in place & Yousaf’s was a ” how can we fuck-up Scotland ( even more ) operation ” ; the Undertaker is there to make the funeral arrangements of the SNP as the main vehicle to Independence it – formerly – was .
The High Priests/Priestesses of * Trans Cult * will administer the Last Rites .
Anyone still think all this is ” accidental ” ?
Aye, he can sell anything, but above all he is selling our nation. The meagre colonial budget is the price.
Juist like maist o Scotlan’s heid bummers nouadays an ower the lest chree hunner year, thay aye mak Scots fowk ensclaved.
Colonialism is always “a co-operative venture” (Fanon) with native elites which depends on these “confidential agents pensioned off at high reward” (Cesaire).
Fortunately we are moving towards the third and final phase of decolonization:
Aye, gradualists are the death to everything.
Wait tae we get 60% +
Wait tae we see Brexshit deal.
Wait tae we officially exit.
Wait tae we see what Bojos like.
Wait tae we see Indy lead the polls consecutively over 10 yrs.
Wait until after COVID.
Wait until after the recovery of COVID.
Wait tae there’s sunshine on fcking Leith again.
Wait, wait, wait…Did we even have a plan? Awwww nawww – back to the beginning we go…
They’re just delay merchants wasting everyone’s time. Shit scared to make a move & always praying another drama turns up to save their skin & delay further..
With Teflon John (Swinney’s) party announcing deep and prolonged budget cuts – it looks like the Scottish taxpayer, could be forced to fund a monument to the now gone foreign English Queen – Elizabeth II.
Isn’t there enough infrastructure – buildings in Scotland named after this foreign monarch – with one man Andrew Robertson, taking it upon himself to rename the Southern General hospital in Glasgow – to, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital – even though, there was a large petition against using her name.
Commenting on the national memorial plans, Swinney said:
“My thoughts, and those of the Scottish people, are with the King and the royal family as they mark the second anniversary of the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.”
The SNP, London’s little enablers. “What do you want us to do, sir Keir? Cut schools funding? Ok”. How about winter fuel payments, want us to cut that too? OK.
Since the red Tories came to power in England, they have systematically shafted their Scottish colony – just like the blue tories. Helped by the SNP.
Where is the fight? where is the resistance? Where is calling out England’s daylight THEFT of Scottish renewable energy? Scotland gets the windfarms and redundant oil rig waste, and England steals the oil and renewables. Nothing. Just a pathetic whimper.
A political strategist in England might well have advised SIR Keir, the English first Minister to expect a helluva fight over the blatant theft of Scottish renewable energy, but nothing happened. The SNP Scottish government did and do nothing.
Anybody who can remember before Alex Salmond returned to the SNP, will recall that John Swinney, the then SNP leader literally drove the SNP into electoral oblivion, by doing NOTHING. I am sure he is a jolly nice chap outside of politics, but honestly, he is no leader.
And so the centuries old plunder of Scotland’s wealth and resources by England carries on apace, hand in hand with England’s willful destruction of our culture, economy and society.
It is high time England;s government and SIR Keir its first minister were told to get the f*** out of Scotland, and Scottish affairs. They are NOT wanted, and NEVER have been.
sarah – Now that the ‘sunday mail’ has published this story, the pressure on those NOT involved in the plot, or the subsequent cover-up becomes enormous.
They will have to act or they will be seen as part of the cover-up. Any delay, obfuscation or inaction will mean that they are open to being regarded as part of the cover-up. Hence, I expect charges to be laid this week.
If I was involved in letting Liz Lloyd avoid facing a court, I’d be very worried indeed.

“For any of us actual Scots who think we’re slaves, there’s numbers we can call. That will get the polis breaking down our doors to free us”
You really don’t know much about colonialism.
Enslavement of a colonized people is through the appropriation of their territory and resources and the obliteration of their culture by a colonizing power. This leaves the colonized and their nation mostly under-developed, with many/most living in or close to poverty in what is actually a very wealthy country – i.e. Scotland.
The economic price of colonialism for Scots based on a GDP-per-capita comparison with neighbouring independent states has been estimated at £150 billion+ per annum, i.e. some three times Holyrood’s budget.
There is in addition to an economic price a psychological price to pay as ‘colonialism is based on psychology’ (Cesaire), e.g. colonial mindset, cultural cringe, internalized racism, sense of inferiority etc.
There is little chance of the police liberating a colonized people and rather more the opposite, much as we see; colonialism is defined as ‘force’ in which police and prosecutors have a central role (Fanon), hence Osborne’s reference to the ‘arms of the British state’ in Scotland.
Scottish Prism is very good today…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3E_zVME3mg
It usually is good, but today’s is a cut above in my opinion… very positive and thought provoking in a good way.
Fergus Ewing is such a tease. I almost bought a newspaper today.
It’s frustrating, simultaneously preaching to the choir – wingers : you don’t say?!
while convincing no one undecided and providing no rebuttal to the Nikki cultists.
I thought he was going to “blow the bloody doors off”, someone has to; the “smell” in the public mind over Salmond is what is holding back Alba.
Truth is defence in law against a charge of libel, and if this did go to (civil) court, with a jury (important) then a lot of dirty linen gets aired.

A EU / UK trade border along the Solway / Tweed line was always a perfectly practical and equitable solution. Northern Ireland has four designated Customs, Points Of Entry, notionally “created” to handle UK to NI goods transfer; Belfast port, Larne ferry terminal, Warrenpoint container terminal and one of the Belfast airports (clearly at least some of these locations already had Customs staff present). That’s 2.1 POE per million people. A combined Scotland / Northern Ireland entity would merit 15 Points Of Entry.
Minus the four Scottish international airports, Grangemouth docks, and one rail, goods terminal this leaves 6 POE along the Tweed / Solway (Customs at Larne would be redundant). Who many HGV suitable crossings are there along the Tweed / Solway?
Robin McAlpine heard from two senior Civil Servants that before the first post Brexit vote meeting between Theresa May and Nicola Sturgeon, May had a document prepared with a series of compromise positions. At the outset of the meeting, tartan Imelda stamped her wee Jimmy Choo’s and squeemed “No Brexit”. The proposals went unopened.
Lorna Slater cites Zero Wast Scotland as an essential, environmental initiative that must be protected in any dramatically reduced budget. Leaving aside the fact that Zero Waste Scotland predates the Bute House Agreement, and any SNP administration for that matter, how efficacious is that body in delivering environment improvements?
An amusing / infuriating tale (depending on your perspective). Some years ago, I applied for the position of Industrial Consultant at Zero Waste Scotland. I am after all a scientist and engineer with decades of experience of management in manufacturing industry (oh, and Zero Wast Scotland’s head office is walking distance from O’Blivion Towers).
In preparation for the interview, I read up on their website. One of the resource saving initiatives they recommended was; “Why not share a stapler in your office?”. I shit you not, saving the planet one stapler at a time.
Regardless, I prepared a presentation of the services I could render in acting as a technical consultant to industrial concerns. Variable Speed Drives, Rotor encoders, Waste heat pumps, multi ring-main compressed air systems, substitution of compressed air with blown air, etc., etc.. It was like showing magic tricks to a dog. Total incomprehension. Not a single member of the interview panel had even the remotest knowledge of science or engineering.
Zero Waste Scotland is a job creation scheme for middle class humanities graduates. To be fair, that statement covers the Scottish Government in its entirety.
@Vivian O’Blivion (10.36) –
Thanks for that. Very interesting.
Reminds me of the grand stushie surrounding Alasdair Gray’s 2012 ‘Settlers and Colonists’ essay.
For some reason it’s very difficult to locate the original essay although Scott Hames at Stirling Uni has done a lot of meticulous research of archive material, both msm and online.
That ‘debate’ has never been thrashed out. It all became pretty nasty, a lot of name-calling, finger-pointing, and underlying it all was the stark ignorance of politicos wading into areas they simply don’t understand.
‘Zero Waste Scotland is a job creation scheme for middle class humanities graduates. To be fair, that statement covers the Scottish Government in its entirety.’
Aye, it does. And it also covers ‘the Arts’, a playground for well-connected middle-classers who willingly subscribe to the Anglification of Scottish culture on the tacit understanding that they and theirs will get whatever gigs are going.

Sometimes, Stu Campbell, I think you’re a right pain in the arse. Other times, like this, I think you’re a bloody hero and everything else is forgiven.
“Sometimes, Stu Campbell, I think you’re a right pain in the arse. Other times, like this, I think you’re a bloody hero and everything else is forgiven.”
To be fair, all the credit for this belongs to Benjamin, so I’m still just a pain in the arse.
If only we had more Benjamin Harrops and Stuart Campbells we would be independent by now or at least be receiving TRUTHFUL information on which you can depend and be reassured
Thanks also to Mr Hamilton who has persevered in trying to bring some HONESTY and INTEGRITY into the SP
THIS all encompassing escape hatch of “NOT IN THE PUBLIC’S
INTEREST” has been utilised each and every time by the Scum Nonce Party in government to hide away and conceal all of their illegal and corrupt antics from the voting public in the event that the people will realise the EXTENT of their corruption and illegality
NOT IN THE PUBLIC’S INTEREST, should only ever be acceptable and used in relation to the safety and security of the people,it should NEVER be acceptable to be used by ANY politician or political party in government to avoid scrutiny or cover up corruption, misdeeds, misconduct, sexual accusations, lies or incompetence,The PUBLIC are the paymasters and have the RIGHT to information that impacts them or affects them
Well done, Messrs Harrop and Campbell. I think we’re going to discover that the legal people warned them and they did not listen, just as they refuse to listen to any legal advice. As far as I am aware, because it was stated at the time, Whitehall also warned them not to touch this issue of Salmond with a bargepole. The ‘Scottish’ civil service appeared to have eschewed that advice, too. Almost everything they touch is tainted by illegality. They listen to the wrong people. Nothing to be done with such a lame horse but to put them down – i.e. get them out of Holyrood and Westminster.
The problem is that we cannot afford to have Labour take over in government here, too, or we will rue the day. The SNP needs to go, but we need to have something else to put in its place or we sink. Removing only the top echelon will not work. The only way that the SNP can ever redeem itself is to come clean, jettison the parasites, food-draggers and devolutionists and unite under a renewed YES movement/constitutional convention BEFORE 2026.
Firstly, well done Mr Harrop, Wings and the info commissioner.
As I said before, I think we are fast reaching the stage where those NOT involved in the plot must expose it, fully. Otherwise they will be implicated in helping with the cover-up.
This plot makes ‘Watergate’ look very, very tame. They plotted to send Alex Salmond to jail, where he would probably have died. Foreign journalists must be getting interested.
This is not going away.
I also note that no one in the nuSNP is smearing Salmond anymore. I do hope all those that did malign him suffer significant consequences.
Newsnight last night had our ex leader of the labour party in Scotland and now head of some dodgy department in Glasgow uni, pontificating on the actions of those in power at Westminster and those once in power at Westminster.
I wonder that anyone bothers watching the BBBC for political info these days – I hasten to add I caught it by accident and was transfixed by the imbecility aired.
I think most people will realise by now what Sturgeon saw in Lloyd that motivated her to make her Chief of Staff, but does anyone actually believe Lloyd cares about Scottish independence? She is a sinister figure in the history of the SNP and any serious documentary would be having a close look at her background and how she became involved in the party.
I went to a hustings to listen to the various candidates for the leadership, with Salmond and Sturgeon going for the dual role. On the face of it, it was perfect: male and female; leader and deputy leader; both believing in pushing the independence project. It is easy to say in hindsight, but Sturgeon did not make me believe that she was in actual favour of independence.
Yes, she made all the right noises, but the real belief was missing. I don’t claim to have prescience. It was pure gut instinct: like pinging a ‘crystal’ glass with your fingernail and getting a dull thunk back. I didn’t trust my own instinct, though, not then, and I voted for the pair. Same with Swinney: my gut told me he was a devolutionist. I smothered that, too, mostly.
Gut instinct is not always right, but mostly it is. The very first time I met Alec Salmond, gut instinct told me he was ‘special’, different from the run-of-the-mill politicians, although I had a slight wobble early on when he took on a seat that was Tory and had been for many a long year, but I soon learned that if he said he was going to do something, he did it and I have reason to be grateful to him for help he gave me well over a decade ago. If he stands in 2026, he will take a seat. Not because he is infallible, but because Scotland needs him again, even if only as an MSP on the List.
Alex seems to make a habit of trusting people whose only intent is to do the dirty on him and by extension the Cause of Scottish Independence
Why-the-fuck did he ever imagine ANYTHING connected with the BBC on this subject would be fair , objective and honest ?
The sooner he abandons such naivety regarding the MSM – and his continuing attempt to find common ground with the Nu SNP Clown Troupe – the better .
Neither of those entities have anything of value to offer genuine Independence supporters .
The naïveté of Salmond is to be marvelled at. Creative Director of Firecrest Films, Iain Scollay was immediately prior to joining that outfit, Creative Director at Mentorn Media. That would be Mentorn Media, producers of Question Time and architects of the Billy Mitchell scandal. Why the SNP continued to put forward office holders to collaborate in that farcical, exercise in theatrical, faux outrage, posing as intellectual political debate mystified me at the time.
This would not be the first instance of pathological naïveté by Salmond. As First Minister he allowed Stephen “CIA” Gethins to be appointed as a SPAD. And who we must ask conducted the vetting on that?
Much as we continue to see in the ongoing farce: “between colonization and civilization there is an infinite distance.” In colonial societies human values tend to be lacking.
Also worth nothing that the most senior non-political government actors involved in “the conspiracy against Salmond” are not Scottish. Seems there are plenty of Defoe’s still around, as should be expected.
I’m allergic to all things BBC, so wouldn’t touch this with a bargepole.
Whether Salmond was niave to get unvolved is a matter of opinion, but for me, the most telling feature of this is that ten years after Scotland “lost” the Referendum, Salmond is still recognised as the most potent existential threat to the cozy UK Establishment, by the cozy UK Establishment.
Salmond scares the shit out them, while nobody else causes even the slightest concern. (Maybe Cherry did at one time, but she seems appropriately nobbled now… “contained”).
Independentists with even half a brain should sit themselves down and work out why that is.
Sturgeon? Yousaf? Swinney? Fkg nobodies; absolute dreggs… and that’s being kind. The Union has never felt safer.
Surely, I can’t be the only one who thinks the Sturgeon loyalists controlling the nuSNP are getting awfy jittery.
The nuSNP are desperately trying to find new ways to put the boot into Salmond. Before it all comes out – Every dirty, filthy, sneaky underhand thing that they plotted and nearly delivered.
Sadly, for the nuSNP, Kirsty Wark has retired so she can’t deliver any more lies. Although I hope that won’t save her from further humiliation regarding her ‘Warkumentary’.
Personally, I can’t wait. I am especially looking forward to people finding out about Humza’s rank hypocrisy, the identity of all the alphabetties, and if someone will sell them all out for a reduced sentence.
I won’t be watching the state telly broadcast.
Aye, there’s plenty taxpayer’s money spare for spending on wars and other shit, like bunging what looks like it will be 16 million quid in curtailment costs to energy companies today not to produce power.
A situation that exists because the folk that “run” the UK couldn’t get their shit together to develop the leccy grid in a timely manner to handle all these “planet saving” windfarms.
https://wind-curtailment-app-ahq7fucdyq-lz.a.run.app/
It’s just yet another way of big foreign owned corporates and private individuals to rinse wealth out of societies with lucrative contracts which nobody seems to be scrutinising.
I’m certain some folk are daft enough to think the BBC will step up and inform us all of this unjust travesty…
Sadly, I will not be watching it. I generally try to avoid anything political by the BBC, given their very overt bias against Scotland. During the run up to the 2014 independence referendum, the blatant anti independence bias of the BBC would have have put pravda from the old days of the USSR to shame.
Then, of course there was the political conspiracy to jail the wholly innocent Alex Salmond, with the BBC’s coven of nobodies, Sitting filming, as they were, in the high street, rubbing their hands in seeming delight at their incorrect assumption of Salmond getting jail. Peak BBC ‘scotyland’ you might call that.
Any normal true national broadcaster in any normal country would be working right now 24/7 to uncover the lies, deceit and corruption of others that led to his trial. Fergus Ewing was right to call it the political scandal of a lifetime. But the BBC? Nah, they know what happened, but choose to look the other way. Corrupt as f***.
The English owned and controlled BBC in Scotland, is ruled by London, England. It portrays only the ‘shortbread tin’ variety of Scotland, twee, unobjectionable, parochial and definitely not up to independence. ‘Just look at all our lovely, lovely hills and grass and sheep and deer and stuff’. It plays the game of a colonial broadcaster in Scotland, appearing on the surface to be very, very ‘scottishy’ – ‘och, we’re going live now to Edinburgh for Hogmanay, and will raise a wee dram here oorsels for the bells’, but when push comes to shove, it is the very vanguard of English colonial rule over Scotland. We saw that clearly in 2014 in every news broadcast and every documentary. Blatant, blatant, disgraceful and shocking pro London rule bias.
Day after day, BBC scotyland, playing the English colonial game, keeping the uppity jocks at bay. Right up there with the very best propagandists. Joseph Goebbels would be proud.
Mac @ 8:12 am says “Watch this [Tucker Carlson with Darryl Cooper] interview instead”
———————-
I would endorse that, and also strongly recommend Carlson’s previous interview with JEFFREY SACHS (30 Aug), which should alert us to just how many of that up-thread string of adjectives “imperialist, colonialist, militarist, murderous, tyrannical, fanatically anti-independence” apply also to American and British geo-political interventions. In the lurid light of which, Scots can draw their own pessimistic conclusions as to the likelihood of Scottish independence being allowed to democratically happen.

“It plays the game of a colonial broadcaster in Scotland”
That’s the BBC’s function, same as Ch4 and STV. The reality in a colony is that all institutions are colonial in terms of their ‘values’. That is why ‘institutions’ is one of the nine determinants of independence:

are you crazy?
or maybe your leaders are blackmailed.
as a kid I got told we lived in this thing called a meritocracy where points mean prizes, so work hard, do your exams, you’ll do fine. Then when I got into work I noticed the people above me seemed helluva dumb, and the people above yet again, even worse. Then you realise – the people above you got their jobs for their LOYALTY to those above them and so on and so on; thus the shit rises to the top and what you get is a kakistocracy. Leaders are often clinical psychopaths, or at least their second rank brethren, the narcissists.
Keir Starmer, we see what an empty coat he is – no principles whatsoever; he ran interference for saville and despite being a human rights lawyer, went after assange. Now the scumbag is going to fuck over the pensioners just as the first snow hits the hills. But the pensioners have no “lobby”, and it was a powerful lobby that placed him in charge after destroying the incumbent with relentless smears and bureaucratic lawfare. Starmer now reads it off a script, for his real bosses.
– it must be depressing to gain “a grand prize, an office of state” and find you have just made it to the … 4th division.
Fearghas MacFhionnlaigh
Well said & you are correct. The British establishment, & the American, are as thick as thieves & meddling around the globe.
I think we already seen that Indy wouldn’t be allowed to democratically happen when Obama stuck his nebb in 2014, & after it, by flooding Holyrood/SNP/NGOs with bad actors intent on detailing any notion of independence & any chance of a competent government. They need their permanent partner in crime on the UN security council & they need Scotlands wealth to help fund their expeditions pretending its some kind of global player.
Sachs is an excellent person to recommend. Another is Neutrality studies, Geopolitical economy report & We love Africa channel (for UN/BRICS) or for Geopolitical news. All are on YouTube.
Their meddling is off the charts & they’re the colonisers. In U, R who they hope to split into tiny regions & China where they’ve no business patrolling their waters. Gaza is another. Illegal expansion dressed up as *defending themselves* already condemned by UN/ICJ yet just ignored. Britain only handed it’s empire to America after WW2 & they both continued. They need thrown off their perch. They’re the only ones destabilising countries, interfering in democratic elections & resorting to violence around the world in their quest to rule & seize everyone else’s resources & wealth. Even the IMF & World Bank is captured. Only giving out funds if they can control that countries domestic policies, laws & trade.
Great post, boss.
It’s a shame YES did not use more negative campaigning; there was a lot of ammo there, just left on the floor.
– and by now we could have just said “see, I told you so … ”
What is coming down the pipe the next few years is monstrous.
And, no question, the ever increasing mood of self confidence abroad in Scotland between 2007 – 2014 was greatly owing to the competent administrations run by Mr Salmond.
Perhaps the single, greatest error during these 7 years was, I’d suggest, the merger of the Regional Police services into the political machine which is Police Scotland. This, together with misnaming a devolved administration as a “Government”, were pretty much the only big decisions I’d suggest Mr Salmond got really wrong. (Nominating Ms Sturgeon to be crowned unopposed was way beyond a ‘big’ error, it was gigantic).
And yes, I’d still regard him as the shrewdest and most adept politician of his generation in the UK.
I wasn’t wanting to get into the micro negatives, but issue of the franchise/exit polls is bang on.
– also, at the time, when a judge had already indicated the potential of abuse for postal votes, the at the time, world record number of postal votes and the – “bizarre” – decision to mix them back in with the normal ones, the only purpose of which is to prevent a separate count of the postals. Are you hiding something?
The ban on photography – I wanted to photo my ballot on the historic day – also stinks. Such measures could have allowed a secondary audit. They don’t like that.
The lack of independent international elections observers – as is the norm for any banana republic, also comes to mind. Also the lower turnouts in the YES majority areas. It goes on, and on.
Such things are obvious in retrospect; Alex did incredibly well overall given the circumstances. It was a close run thing.
– and who can ever forget Ruth Davisons “smirk” and incredible prescience, just as the count started … (made me think of the photo of LBJ winking on the plane carrying JFKs still warm corpse)
And there’s more, for we now have “demographics” against us.
We should expect “dirty tricks” from the folks who invented half of them. It’s “pefidious albion” not “straight-edge honest albion”. We are talking about 5 trillion worth of hard, real assets, walking out the door on a “show of hands” – are you kidding? What do you think will happen?
English visitor here, just prior to Ref. Chanced to meet English contact now living in Moray. I had worked beside her previously, we talked freely. She was convinced she would lose her pension after Inde.
Who told those lies?
Alex Salmond asks why Yes did not win the referendum. As some-one who did a lot of canvassing (for Better Together), I can tell him that he lost for two clear reasons.
The first was that the economic case had not been made. The prospectus was not good enough, and people knew that, especially people on average incomes. That is why a lot of SNP voters, and actually members, voted No. The case had not been made.
The second reason was that a lot of people did not like or trust Alex Salmond, and that mean’t that they did not trust the proposition being made. That situation has only got worse. He lost his seat to the Tories the last time he stood for election (how unpopular do you have to be for that to happen?) and his new party struggled to get 1% in the elections since then.
If the pro- Indy side want to do better next time, then they need a better economic case (difficult as the economy is a strength of the Union) and they need to get rid of Alex Salmond.
Herein lies the majority opinion in the real world. The Indy ship has sailed, which everyone knows, and I suspect Salmond will be long deid before it comes back again.
Sog @ 2.32pm
Answer: The Better Together arm of the British state and a UK civil service openly and actively working to protect the “Sovereign State” and status quo.
Plus a compliant media, ALL in the knowledge it’s campaign was aimed almost solely at scaring the living daylights out of the undecideds.
For an almost unparalleled example of how tone deaf the SNP has become since, Murray Foote, Daily Records rent-a hack and author of the infamous Vow is now the SNPs CEO.
You really couldn’t make this up..
Giving people who aren’t Scottish, and who weren’t born here, the right to vote on independence, was the biggest error by the ‘master tactician’ Alex Salmond.
Why would you allow foreigners to have a say on whether the country they are living in, should be free from the occupation and pillaging of the country the majority have moved from? The same country that allows them to sell a shitty ex council flat in a crime ridden estate in London for half a million pounds, and come up here and buy a huge property, pricing out the locals?
With 100,000 English moving North every year, because their ruling class ‘betters’ have ruined their own country, the future of independence looks bleak, unless we change the voting rights.
By all means let them stay, but this is our Country – not theirs. We should be deciding our future – not them.
Just to state the bleedin obvious – if it came to light 2014 was rigged, then the result is illegitimate, the UK is illegitimate and everything it has done since then is illegal.
At minimum, a new referendum should take place immediately, setup and run by the UN and using a more typical franchise, indigenous only.
If YES wins this time, then the English will have to repay every penny of what they took from Scotland in those 10 years, plus interest.
If England refuses to leave then we are now “occupied by a foreign power” and should call for the full raft of sanctions and diplomatic pressures to be applied.
But soon there will be so many English up here you won’t have to rig anything. They can win “fair and square” as long as the carpetbaggers are allowed free reign and a full vote for turning up 5 minutes ago, against the votes of people born here, lived here, built this land, as did their parents and grandparents.
Some thought provoking comments from Alex. The lack of progress towards independence in the last 10 years is surely one of the biggest scandals in Scottish politics ever. Like unhelpful and counter-productive wizards the Sturgeon led SNP was handed a golden chalice full of promise and golden nuggets guaranteed to enhance the case for Scottish independence and they managed to make those nuggets disappear, to evaporate before our eyes leaving instead a pungent and putrid pong of failure defined by the science denying and infantile gender identity obsession and the grotesque failure to build a fucking ferry on time. Years of competent and progressive government were undone by the childish and children led coalition with a Green Party full of self-righteous and pompous non-entities convinced they were actually important. The struggle, however, goes on. Come along to Glasgow’s George Square on Saturday from 12 noon and hear speakers like Alex and Angus MacNeil rally us around the cause once more under the motto that a new and better independent Scotland is definitely possible and urgent and reminding us that the Dream Will Never Die.
Hope Over Fear 10th Anniversary Rally, Saturday 14th September, from 12 noon in Glasgow’s George Square. Speakers and Live music from Scottish independence supporting artists and musicians.

As a regular critic of Alex Salmond. I would still like to thank him for his effort in trying to win independence, what HE has done is awakened and encouraged people to the REALITY that it can be achieved
BUT we will only achieve it when we TAKE THE GLOVES OFF,as evidenced as early as yesterday by the despicable bbc and the racist 10 minute ex FM who are and will continue to denigrate and demean Alex Salmond irrespective of his proven innocence
IMO the list of guests for his show indicates that he has not learned anything, he is still enamoured and captured by a host of cowards and self servers, many of whom sat on their padded fat arses and cowered whilst the deviant poisoned dwarf destroyed every credible route to independence
Alex Neil was a guest on Barrhead boy on Sunday and his ideas were refreshing and very practical but where was Alex when Scots needed FIGHT
Joanna Cherry fought bojo’s and WM prorogation and WON benefitting english voters, where was Joanna’s FIGHT for Scots SOVEREIGNTY in the COR through the ECJ OR THE ICJ
Phillipa Whitford a renowned and capable medical practitioner where was Phillipa when the the deviant poisoned dwarf was FORCING legislation through HR that would seriously threaten the safety and security of our little girls and womenfolk
I could go on but suffice to say NOT ONE OF THEM HAD THE COURAGE TO FIGHT FOR SCOTLAND, their pay packets and expenses meant more to them
SCOTLAND and SCOTS will only win independence when Alex Salmond recognises that most politicians are cowards and liars and the ONLY ones willing to FIGHT tooth and nail for independence is these people, SALVO , Liberation.scot ,SSRG and until he embraces and welcomes Sara Salyers and the people he is only a politician
Confused @ 4:32 pm
“the “economic case for independence” can be done in one word :
NORWAY”
Yes, Scots would be at least £150bn a year better off as an independent state in control of our own resources. And we would still have some way to go to catch Norway’s GDP-per-capita:
I am one of those who, unashamedly and without any remorse, firmly believes Yes won in 2014.
I am of the opinion that all what we have seen ever since has been nothing more than gaslighting by the British state, propaganda, abuse of power and manipulation of political procedures and narrative, thought control and enforced denial of democracy. All to cover the fact that yes won in 2014.
You cannot talk about democracy when the option the majority wants is purposely being left out of the options on offer to choose from. That is denying democracy.
The way Sturgeon, Yousaf and now Swinney have pissed all over our democratic mandates for a referendum, or the way Sturgeon pissed on our democratic mandate to remain in the EU are beautiful examples of how democracy has being systematically denied to Scotland. The way those individuals deconstructed and destroyed the SNP to completely disengage the membership from the leadership is another beautiful example.
I am afraid I cannot believe No won in September 2014 when, less than two months after, elements of the British establishment themselves were already giving solid predictions for the mother of all SNP landslides and a pro-indy vote majority in 2015. If that was not enough, we also had crown tools like Brown and Cameron panicking and telling us that the referendum was a one-off and therefore there could never be another one no matter how many anti-union MPs we sent to Westminster.
If they were so sure that No had won and so “decisively” as we were told, then they would not be so scared about having another referendum. But when we had Sturgeon a few weeks after telling us that a vote for the SNP was not a vote for independence or even a referendum, I smelled a rat.
I also smelled a rat when England MPs rushed to vote down FFA for Scotland and Sturgeon didn’t even bat an eyelid, despite Brown and the MSM constantly parroting the concept of “Devo Max” in the last weeks of the campaign. At that point I started to wonder if Sturgeon and Brown were on the same side.
I do not believe in coincidences or miracles. For this reason, I do not believe it was a coincidence that, at the most dangerous time for the union, the political fraud put in charge of the SNP from November 2014 onwards could not run fast enough to declare, AFTER the SNP landslide had been predicted on the assumption the SNP was the vehicle for Scotland’s independence, that a vote for the SNP was not a vote for independence.
What she did was effectively neutering the SNP in preparation for the brexit vote. In other words, she was facilitating the dragging of Scotland out of the EU against its will. She was doing the dirty work for the British state and validating the crown tools who were parroting on a loop that we could not have another referendum.
A SNP majority in May 2015 should have marked the end of the union. That is what it was expected to do. A majority of anti-union MPs Scotland MPs voting to end the union is all what is legally required to terminate it, in the same way it was all what it was required to start it.
That instead of marking the end of the union that majority marked the end of the SNP itself and the beginning of a period where the yes movement have been continuously and deliberately stalled and attacked by Sturgeon and co forcing the gender woowoo and trans nonsense down its throat, a period when Yes supporters have been subjected to vicious malicious persecutions and when elements of the SNP colluded with arms of the British state to deploy a disgusting conspiracy against Mr Salmond, says an awful lot about where the real allegiance of STurgeon’s, Swinney’s, Yousaf’s and the SNP higher echelons actually lies.
It was not coincidence that an acceleration of the theft of Scotland’s resources has also happened during this time. All while Sturgeon, Yousaf and Swinney happily looked the other way and indulged the gender woowoo, furries and cocks in frocks.
But these 9 years also told us an awful lot about the real allegiance of all the SNP MPs, particularly the WEstminster leaders. They had between them 9 years to lead our anti-union MP majority to end the union. Instead, they chose to lead our MPs to sit more comfortably in the green seats and, with their presence in Westminster, to continue legitimising this toxic union and its abuse over Scotland.
The outrageously undemocratic way in which Yousaf and Swinney were parachuted to the position of FM is another example of this gaslighting, obfuscation and denial of democracy for Scotland. It is another sign that the SNP has been since November 2014 under British state control. Voting for the SNP is voting for the British state and for the preservation of the union. Nothing proves this better than the way YOusaf abused his position of power to hand over, without Scotland’s consent, the stone of destiny to the English monarch. Now we are seeing Swinney abusing his position of power to divert taxpayers’ funds to pay for some stupid statue to commemorate the death of an English monarch. At a time when Robison has applied a chainsaw to the budget for public services and when they are claiming they cannot deliver on their promises of paying for school children meals, frankly, spending our money in a useless statue comes across as obscene.
I am also of the opinion the 2014 referendum should have used the franchise that every other country uses for referendums: a closed one. Inviting everybody and their dog to cast a vote was asking for trouble. Had the franchise been closed, as it should have been, and I am convinced Yes would have won. I am therefore of the opinion the franchise was another part of a carefully designed strategy by the British state to subtly deny Scotland its self-determination under the con of “being inclusive”.
I am of the opinion that, until that franchise is tightened, until the issue of the postal votes is tightened and until political parties with HQ in England and structures of power controlled by foreign entities such as the crown office or the civil service are denied the opportunity to interfere in Scotland’s internal business, we will continue to have a repeat of the result we had in 2014.
Much as I admire and respect Mr Salmond, my trust in political parties and the political system in general, is, since 19 September 2014, completely gone.
More recently, I have come to the realisation that the crown itself was never neutral in the first place and, in the same way it was responsible for forcing and coercing Scotland into this union in 1706, it is my own personal opinion that it is currently using its position of power and influence to ensure the union continues.
For this reason, until MPs and MSPs stand on an abstentionist mandate of not swearing allegiance to the crown and of not taking the seats, until they stand on a manifesto of refusing to abide by the Scotland Act and seek instead to reconvene the old Scottish parliament to its full power, I will not believe they are truly pursuing Scotland’s independence.
Because I am of the opinion that democracy and self-determination will continue to be denied to Scotland through its own political parties and politicians, until the time sufficient MPs and MSPs candidates stand on an abstentionist mandate, I see absolutely not point whatsoever in engaging on the self-defeating charade that is casting a vote to legitimise this union and the systematic abuse and ransacking Scotland is subjected to while part of it.
Yir big mistake Alex – in the 2014 constitutional indyref – was that you enfranchised everyone and their dogs, and that backfired on us – in votes.
As for Alba – you need to make it abundantly clear that Alba MPs won’t take up their seats – that they will not in anyway bow to Westminster – which must be in yir manifesto – no real indy party takes part in a foreign country’s (England) GE and sends MPs to England to settle in.
I’m all for indy – but £25 quid for a post mortem on how we lost – what we should’ve won is a bit painful to take.
I moved up here in 2010, as I wanted to be a part of that independent Scotland that I’d been hearing about. The Scottish government seemed to be making lives up here far better than back in Englandshire.
Being able to vote in the referendum was a surprise, and of course I voted YES.
When the results were in, I sat in shock for hours. I couldn’t believe it.
The SNP won’t deliver independence, and many wouldn’t vote for the them again. Too many scandals and too many obvious grifters, who value the status quo for their salaries, than doing what is best for Scotland.
Re: the Franchise
The treaty of the Union brought together 2 sovereign nations, with Scotland subsumed into Britain (a construct to allow the current situation which has no basis in law). What was never stated but implied was that all MPs had an equal right to vote on matters pertaining to Britain (and by inference Scotland), whereas in fact they have no jurisdiction whatsoever.
The treaty has a 1:1 relationship, so 500+ English and other MPs represent 1 sovereign and 50+ represent Scotland, but at the end of the day matters must be decided betwen these 2 parties.
Another assumption is that being British allows Britons to assume the same the rights as the indigenous populations of their choice of residence. By dissolving the Union, Britons become English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish. Any Emigrants would be foreigners in their choice of residence and would only be eligible to vote after a specific period of residency (or some other equitable criteria) as defined in the franchise
An economic case you’ll be searching high and low to see any NuSNP (or other pro-indy politician for that matter) proffer…
The Kingdom of Scotland has a much better resources to population figure than the Kingdom of England.
(Old stats so may not be 100% accurate but it gives the gist.)
KINGDOM OF SCOTLAND WITH ONLY 9% OF THE UK POPULATION HAS:
32% of the land area.
61% of the sea area.
90% of the fresh water.
65% of the natural gas production
96.5% of the crude oil production.
47% of the open cast coal production
81% of the untapped coal reserves
62% of the timber production
46% of the total forest area
92% of the hydro electric production
40% of the wind wave and solar energy production
60% of the fish landings
30% of the beef herd
20% of the sheep herd
9% of the dairy herd
10% of the pig herd
15% if the cereal holdings
20% of the potato holdings
90% of the whisky industry
70% of gin production
KINGDOM OF ENGLAND WITH 91% OF THE UK POPULATION ONLY HAS:
68% of the land area.
39% of the sea area.
10% of the fresh water.
35% of the natural gas production
3.5% of the crude oil production.
53% of the open cast coal production
19% of the untapped coal reserves
38% of the timber production
54% of the total forest area
8% of the hydro electric production
60% of the wind wave and solar energy production
40% of the fish landings
70% of the beef herd
80% of the sheep herd
91% of the dairy herd
90% of the pig herd
85% if the cereal holdings
80% of the potato holdings
10% of the whisky industry
30% of gin production
The revenue streams generated by the current UK government policies means the two Kingdoms’ combined resources help to serve the UK population of 67 million.
So if Scotland returned to self-governance we could even emulate current UK policies and therefore with The Kingdom of Scotland’s much improved resources to population figures it would mean the larger proportional revenue stream generated by those Scottish resources would only have to serve 5.4 million.
Please feel free to suggest the economic case an independent Kingdom of England would utilse.
Note that my proffered example makes no suggestion of altering the ownership status of these assets and resources, instead the change of Scotland returning to self-governance would mean that the revenue streams generated by licensing and taxation of these assets and resources in Scottish jurisdictional areas would be diverted to a Scottish Treasury, to be used and distributed across Scottish society made up of 5.4 million folk, rather than them flowing into the UK Treasury which serves 67 million folk.
Obviously with independence we could hone policy to improve on the current UK fiscal setup.
And for the unionists. Are you happy that under London Rule our UK energy resources are badly managed and being exploited by foreign interests with little to no benefit for ourselves.
Garrion
Not everyone, in every country, can just rock up to vote in a nations independence referendum.
Even the UK government sets restrictions, including yer average general election. A free for all is NOT allowed & nor should it be. It’s not their constitution. It’s not their nations statehood. It’s not their decision.
A residency restriction is perfectly acceptable.
Anyone following geopolitical news will be aware of the global shit show at the moment with coups, civil unrest & election interference & mainly caused by *bussed in* meddlers working on behalf of foreign interference.
Scotland is no different. England immediately loses its place on the world stage, in all of its wee international clubs, at the UN, in NATO, at the G7 & countless other international organisations, not to mention it’s cash cow & only source of income, so any independence referendum we have will be open to abuse from the get go. It cannot be conducted in a domestic setting & it’d be sheer stupidity to have an open vote for ppl to just rock up who may not even plan on staying here long term.
& Get rid of postal votes unless they can be verified by a visit.
@Geri, broadly agree, but…surely there are some means of determining and requiring a period of residency (frinstance) that would head off some or most of the inevitable and egregious fuckery at the pass?
My absolute fear is that this particular Independence question is vulnerable to both the blood and soil fruitloops, which sadly we have a fair amount of still in Scotland, and the deliberate and malevolent reduction and debasement of the whole issue as nationalism/ racism by the English Statist powers that be who, as you so rightly point out, will stoop to anything to prevent Scottish Independence as they know exactly what England will immediately become the minute ‘we’ exit the so called union.

Some good folk in this thread – Alex obvs, Tommy S, VivO, IanB, Alf Baird, others, we now just need the ambassador, Grousebeater and Irvine Welsh and it’s an alltimer.
For younglings who don’t know it – Tommy S – inflicted the first defeat on Thatcherism when it was at its peak, and did it from outside (parliamentary) politics; Labour chucked him out for -actually trying to do- the sort of things the Labour Party was setup to do. For this the establishment never forgave him and went after him, smears and all.
Next week I expect Labour to bring back the workhouse and the debtors prison. The jobcentres already have “work makes you free” on their front doors; has a ring to it, can’t place it though.
Anyone heard about these “liquid cremations” they now do? Turn your body into compost (presumably after they have looted the organs), sounds a bit like an old 70s scifi movie to me. Not good.
Still, at least the profligate pensioners aren’t heading down the bookies with their winter fuel payments.
A free lottery for the old? Prizes include a winter fuel payment or a trip to dignitas.
Geri @ 9.14 yesterday: “It was R. ”
It was my recollection too, and that that country’s observers also warned of the insecurity of the postal vote in 2014. I think Mr P. was one of the few international leaders to say the referendum was a matter for the Scots, unlike Barack “Yes we can” Obama who then told us that as far as Scotland was concerned, it was a case of “Naw ye cannae.”
I don’t think many of us realised the forces stacked against us at the time. The nuclear albatross around our neck makes things even more difficult for us to get out from under. The UK is desperate to retain both its membership of the Big Boys’ Nuclear Club and all our lovely, lovely resources (see Dan above).

Value of negative campaigning.
Scotland’s poor health and drug problems are directly attributable to Thatcher’s policies. (See Scott-Samuel et al, Allik et al and the November release of Walsh and McCartney “Social Murder” among many others).
Socioeconomic position determines good or bad health and Scotland does not control economic or welfare policies.
The block grant is not based on need. Research by Stirling Uni 2013 says that if it was based on need Scotland would get an extra £44 per person for the NHS. That’s about £255 million each year over 56 years for one public service.
Barnett has stated his block grant idea is unfair. In 2009 a House of Lords committee said the block grant was unfair and should be based on need. It should take account of regional levels of unemployment, levels of income, population age, health and levels of disability.
Labour could have changed the grant to be based on need in 2009 and again when the Smith Commission was at work.
Corruption is deeply embedded in the UK political system. One effect is seen in the jailing of “rogue traders” for LIBOR rigging. It was not just traders doing the bidding who were involved in rigging the LIBOR rate. These people were doing what they were told. Senior bankers were involved but not prosecuted.
More than that the Bank of England, its supervisory body, Brown and Darling were also directly involved in the criminal activity of rigging bank interest rates after the financial crash.
Innovative campaigning. Look at the work done by Mike Hudson and others in developing a UK wide Land Tax which Scotland could use. Google NIESR Land Tax.
Look at what Hudson says about nationalising banks.
The problem with a changed franchise is that all UK citizens are allowed to vote wherever they are in the UK. However, it will have to be argued that independence is a unique constitutional situation and, therefore, just as the UK did in 2016, the vote requires to be more nuanced and tailored. I do not think we could bar every English/Welsh/NI-born voter, but a time bar could be introduced – i.e. if you are a student who does not know whether you will be staying in Scotland after graduation or if you have arrived within the past five years, you will not be allowed to vote.
Foreign nationals who have no citizenship and have not been in Scotland for five years, could also be barred from voting. Those who, with or without citizenship, but who have made Scotland their home for over five years, and who express an intention to stay, should, I think, be allowed to vote.
The postal vote needs to be tightened up considerably, and it also requires to be kept separate, and counted separately, under strict supervision, before being added to the overall count. People who apply for a postal vote or who delegate a vote should have to provide photographic evidence of who they are, with postal vote and address correlating. The postal votes should never leave the country to be counted. International scrutiny must be sought and instigated.
Personally, I believe that another referendum will never be granted and, even if it were to be so, interference is a given. A Scottish election must be the way forward, with voters being made totally aware that voting for an independence party – any independence party – is a vote for independence, and a united front informal alliance would be advisable. A ratifying referendum only after the election, assuming we win, with a declaration of independence before it.
No one could question the legitimacy and legality of such actions. With SALVO/Liberation constitutional back-up, it would take outright conflict, instigated by the British State, and witnessed by the entire world, to reverse such a democratic decision. Finally, no country that has around 50% of its people demanding independence can be kept a prisoner for long if it is determined to go; it only takes the will.
Vivian: I’m not really quibbling with your figures based on the census of 2011 and that of 2016. The figures for those rUK migrants seems to me to be very low. In the areas of Scotland in the North and North-east alone, in Highland, Moray and Aberdeenshire, those figures would be a low estimate, even for 2016, and, now, would be very much higher. I have no problem with English people in Scotland so long as they do not deliberately skew the independence question out of loyalty to England, but I do believe that many were scared of being told to leave Scotland if YES won. I think that is still a fear and it must be allayed.
I have met some English-born who voted YES in 2014, but many more who voted NO. I don’t think Professor Henderson was too far off the mark as to voting intentions. I, too, think that, although a small majority of Scots-born voters are YES in their hearts, some of them had cold feet and voted NO on the day and handed NO the victory. If there is another vote open independence, whether referendum or election, the huge working-class and non-working-class vote will have to be harnessed, as it was in 2014.
As for dislike of Alec Salmond, I really believe, having spoken to a number of people who held this view of him, that it was always his ability and intellect that frightened them. They were either Unionists or English-born anti independists who knew, instinctively, that he was the one person in Scotland who could actually bring in independence. They never feared any other leader because they did not believe that he or she could do that. Now, most of them do not fear even the SNP will bring in independence. We know it won’t unless it changes radically from Nicola Sturgeon’s format and policies.
Lots of good comments on this thread, but I think we only scratched the surface.
The mistakes … yes, there were; they are easy to see with time and distance. Maybe the uber “meta-mistake” was on just assuming we were dealing with an opponent who would play the game fairly. No, there is too much at stake.
I won’t criticise Salmond for not playing a perfect game; from where he started to where he took it, is an incredible achievement.
The thing is, had we won, I am in no doubt whatsoever that the UK would NOT have abided by the terms of the deal – they would have shafted us; they would have stonewalled us, said it was “advisory” and then launched a propaganda barrage of sophistry from all the media citing “constitutional experts”; best case you get a talking shop that 10 years down the line hands us devomax/”federalism” – a new empty agreeement, the terms of which they will simply break before the ink is dry.
Nor are they beyond the older, darker tricks – Salmond has a heart attack while out hillwalking, or gets depressed and takes a lot of pills. Man of his age, it could happen.
People need to know what they are dealing with – they are not “labradors” they are “XL Bullies”; people don’t really read imperial history written from the other side of the col0nised.
The only way to get the UK to play fair would have been if the americans were on our side, but why? And why when there has been no attempt to cultivate them?
There won’t be another referendum like 2014. It was too close, was almost a disaster for the UK. It is still something they fear though – last week the Scotsman had this excremental article about new rules for a new referendum – talk about moving the goalposts – they only want a super majority of 66%, and you have to win 2 in a row, and not soon, and with a gap between them; which would let anglo colonisation make the result a foregone conclusion.

I liked the end.
I’m looking forward to the utopia the yoons have been promising since the nasty nats took their toys away in 2011 & they never got over it. Imagine having the audacity to ask a population for an opinion!
I can’t wait to see what their plans are for Scotlands pocket money. They’ve had 13 long yrs out in the wilderness – lamenting how great things were like PFI & trams that went nowhere, where everyone worked for self esteem & good fun was had by all. If I remember correctly, it never pissed rain either.
Aye, it’ll be a Beezer of a plan for sure. I’m giddy with excitement already. I can’t wait to see the GERs..
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

loved it. Shauny Boy is becoming a national treasure. Someone needs to fund him.
the device of an imagined history of what should have been was used recently in “once upon a time in hollywood”

the false prophet is a component of the unholy trinity, in islam they call it the dajjal, “the deceiver”, who is blind in one eye
Shauny Boy is a raw talent that’s for sure. I too thought the coda detracted from the piece of work. Close the curtain as soon as the performance is over is the old acting adage. What to do next? I am beginning to think Holyrood is not the answer. We could be heading for an early Scottish Parliament Election. Scottish Labour are now 22 MSPs short of an overall majority. Up 5 short in 2 weeks and Sarwar has barely spoke. Or in others words the SNP are forecasting just 2 MSPs behind Scottish Labour and have good prospects of being the party with the most MSPs. What am I doing about? I am getting my ticket for Saturday. Well done to Shauny Boy the sort of artist that should get Creative Scotland support.

I am more relaxed regards Shaun’s little rant. It’s broadly accurate. The demise of Sturgeon (or at least her retreat to acting behind the curtain, with her ultimate destruction pending an inevitable release of the facts surrounding the attempted imprisonment of Alex Salmond), solves nothing. Sturgeon predates the current generation of careerist who bear the fingerprints of MI5 (via the cut-out of the US State Department). This is of course assuming that the Dreghorn witch wasn’t recruited by the British Security Services while studying at the University of Glasgow. With that institution being the epicentre of spook activity North of the border, that is at least a possibility but that is worthy of separate post in its own right. The point being, that Sturgeon was atypical, being the target of manipulation rather than recruitment. Why would Thames House opt for manipulation? Why was Sturgeon identified as being vulnerable to their well honed techniques of psychological exploitation? This brings us to the curious psyche of Nicola Sturgeon.
?
?Robin McAlpine is credited with being amongst the very first to see through the carefully concocted image and recognise the horror that lay beneath. I suppose being professionally concerned with the nuts-and-bolts of political campaigning, Robin was quickly cognisant of the true lack of substance, the absence of serious intent, ultimately the nature of the grift.
What’s intriguing is why this superficial con artist was so successful, why so many folk were eager to follow this charlatan.
This brings us to the concept of Pathocracy proposed by Polish psychologist Andrzej ?obaczewski. ?obaczewski states that a leader exhibiting strongly atypical psychological pathology will through a process similar to osmosis, alter the system to mirror their dominant psyche. ?obaczewski, who experienced the tyranny of both the Nazis and the Soviets, focuses on psychopathy but in theory, malignant narcissism and Machiavelli syndrome would also apply. Crucially, ?obaczewski allows for the acolytes of the leader to mimic the psychological pathology of the leader rather than truly possess it themselves. Quote: “If an individual in a position of political power is a psychopath, he or she can create an epidemic of psychopathology in people who are not, essentially, psychopathic.”.
Without an intimate knowledge of Sturgeon’s personality, amateur and remote diagnosis of any of the “dark triad” traits (psychopathy, narcissism and Machiavellianism) is problematic. This said, there’s enough of her professional life that’s been lived in public to form some speculative proposals. The “dark triad” pathologies exhibit reasonably early in life. Did the failed Solicitor display the ruthless focus of a psychopath, the needy attention cravings of a narcissist or the serpentine manipulative scheming of a Machiavellianist? I suspect not. Sturgeon’s career is characterised by failing upwards.
This leaves open a possible diagnosis of Hubris Syndrome. Unlike the “dark triad”, Hubris Syndrome is an acquired personality disorder. This is über hubris on a pathological scale. Alternatively, Hubris Syndrome is a pseudo-scientific label applied to what the rest of us would regard as common bleedin’ sense. According to its advocates, Hubris Syndrome exhibits only when high office is attained and becomes more pronounced the longer the elevated position is retained. We could go through the 14 symptoms of Hubris Syndrome one-by-one and most if not all apply to Sturgeon.
Perhaps the most strikingly applicable is; “Excessive confidence in the individual’s own judgement and contempt for the advice or criticism of others”. This trait was clearly on display during the Judicial review at the Court of Session, called by Alex Salmond to adjudicate on the procedure the Scottish Executive attempted to use to “fit him up”. Only when her lawyers Roddy Dunlop KC and Christine O’Neil, flatly threatened to resign, did Sturgeon concede the case.

Isn’t it extraordinary that in the decade since the independence referendum that the BBC, STV, and all of Scotland’s political, cultural and media elite have produced the sum amount of zero satire towards Sturgeon, the SNP, and the state of Scotland generally. Sure, there’s a feeble gag here on the BBC’s Hogmanay ‘comedy’ specials. Janey Godley might make a voiceover of a Sturgeon speech where she does the same gag she’s battered to death, but otherwise we’re a satirical desert.
So thank god for Shaun & this is the pinnacle of what he’s done though I hope he carries on as he’s a much, much needed voice. If Scotland was a fair place he’d be funded by the likes of the BBC, rather than crowdfunding but if it has to be funded that way so be it.
The one thing he outlines perfectly there that the rise of Sturgeon wasn’t some grand conspiracy by the ‘yoons’ or any other crackpot conspiracy. It was someone who saw an opportunity for power, took it, liked it and that power went to her head while she picked off any potential threat and surrounded herself with allies and ineffective cronies. That rally at the SEC was the turning point and the Brexit campaign was when she kicked up a gear as suddenly she was being praised by middle class political commentators in the rest of the UK and that went right to her ego.
Though Shaun’s right, Sturgeon’s the symptom of the main issue. Salmond, for all his many, many faults, surrounded himself with competent people & enacted a broad socially democratic set of policies, while Sturgeon rebranded more centre-right ideas as ‘progressive’ & took Blair’s obsession with managerial politics to the nth degree. Of course Labour under Starmer aren’t offering any great change & although Labour’s cutting of the winter fuel payment is genuinely evil, they are right to point out the Tories spent 14 years trashing the UK. The fact is the time for independence is gone, for now at least. Not that I’d want people like Swinney and Patrick bloody Harvie on their hands on an independent Scotland.
Scotland is in a rut. The political elite are riddled with corrupt careerists and the good ones are outnumbered by these people. Our media is useless, and our culture is almost dead thanks to the likes of Creative Scotland who have done nothing of note to push different voices. The independence movement is full now of bitter people (I count myself in there) mixed with crazed conspiracy theorists and flag-shaggers. Civic nationalism is a thing of the past.
We’re nearly at the tenth anniversary of the Indyref & the last decade has been hellish but as Shaun says at the end in his coda, the blame can’t just be laid at the feet of Sturgeon. There’s a lot of blame to be shared.
Well, ah watched the hale ay that fake doc fae start tae finish. Hudnae seen nuhhin fae Shauny Boy in long enough, thought he hud jacked it in. Didnae laugh much. It wis too fucking painful. The country’s political institutions destroyed fir the lonely-teenage-ego-stroking vanity ay yin closeted manhating sociopath. Only in Scotland. When that boay wis shouting aboot pensioners dying alone, that wisnae satire, n the boay didnae sound like he wis trying tae be funny. Nearly spat oan ma screen when that cunt came oan wi her “Get your jacket, it’s time” smug pish. Whaur noo Shauny Boy, indeed, whaur noo. Fuck knows.
We have now progressed beyond the old statement of, “The lunatics are running the asylum.”
Now the entire country appears to many of us to have become the asylum.
Again, thanks to WoS for being, apparently, the sole independent truth teller in our poor, broken Scotland.
The story is up on the BBC News, Website. The main page, not just the Scottish section.
Only point of note: “Edinburgh Rape Crisis said it recognised it “got things wrong” and apologised.”
Clearly this is the new management of ERC. The form and platform of the apology is not specified.
Statements from Rape Crisis Scotland are quoted but Brindley’s name does not appear.
It’ll be interesting to see what definition of woman/female they come up with. Will they be able to it without resorting to the usual circular definitions they like to use (a woman is anyone who feels they’re a woman), and without terms such as ‘identify’ or ‘gender identity’ in it.
Also, if I understand what happened correctly, the issue which mainly led to the tribunal was the fact that one of the female workers had decided she was ‘non-binary’ and adopted a male-sounding name, and there was a problem in how that was to be conveyed to any service users who asked to be seen only by a woman.
From memory, it was ok to say the worker ‘is non-binary and not a man’ but not to say ‘is non-binary and is a woman’’.
I haven’t read the report, but I would’ve thought some clarity around this type of terminology is also needed. Ideally, it should not be used at all – that’s for their personal lives and not to be brought into the workplace. It’s bad enough that the staff and volunteers are expected to understand (and go along with) it all, but why should service users – who won’t necessarily be aware of any of these ‘intersectional’ terms and ideas – be faced with having this nonsense pushed on them.
And they’ve really got to get rid of Wadwha.
For years now, feminist groups have been saying as loud as possible that Wadhwa & ERCC are actually harming rape survivors and here it is spelt out as clear as possible. A rape crisis centre is further traumatising women thanks to a man who a number of people think is a woman and put his needs ahead of vulnerable women. If anything sums up how screwed things are then this is it.
Wadhwa needs to be sacked tomorrow. A full public enquiry needs to take place and Maggie Chapman should stand down but as she’s completely shameless and doesn’t want to lose that MSP salary, she won’t.
I despise what the Greens have become. I despise people like Wadhwa, and I especially despise those who put him in place, supported and encouraged him. They’re as bad as he is, and 100% he’s getting off on the power in his position as well as listening to stories of raped women.
Holyrood should be acting on this tomorrow. It won’t. It yet again would show Sturgeon’s judgement to be terrible & show, yet again, that Trans Ideology is designed to hurt women but even so, this surely has to be the end of Wadhwa in Scottish public life?
“However Rape Crisis Scotland, which runs 17 member centres, defended the decision saying it was “proud” to have Wadhwa “as a colleague within our movement”.”
Who knew a rape crisis center was a movement!?
Aye nothing will come of it. We seem to be living in the age of wasting money on bad practices/policies, waste money on an inquiry/detailed report, ignore it & announce lessons will be learned. Shred report.
She should be sacked immediately because her focus isn’t on helping victims but to a cult & to a cult that is hostile to real women. If she isn’t then the government should withdraw funding. Its fraud to receive public funds under false pretences.
I’m not in the least surprised victims don’t bother going. Who the fuck needs the TRA gestapo minimising their truma & trying to school them with TRA stunning & brave pish in the middle of someone else’s crisis. Typical narcissists. The whole room is to revolve around them.

africa, nigeria – always worth a swatch; nigeria has oil and subsidises the price of fuel for its people … imagine, being able to do that? – anyway, other problems meant this policy was to bankrupt them, so they had to whack up prices, riots occurred – but they have a partial solution; why not, whisper it – HAVE YOUR OWN, LOCAL, REFINERY?
https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/articles/cq6rd7e0pzmo
– this is such a brilliant insight, maybe someone could tell the scotgov.
What? – unprofitable you say?
So why doesn’t england shut down its 5 oil refineries and just import refined petroleum products from amsterdam? – surely the free market will ensure efficiency?
everyone knows postal voting is absolutely secure and rigging never happens in western democracies

Scotland doesn’t do refineries but if they did they’d be the wrong kind.
The story of our Union. Doesn’t matter what it is. Even the wind is wrong & all that rain spoils their holidays.
Twathater – a most excellent idea. Every policy has half in a deposit. Fck up the policy then lose yer deposit.
Or even better – just sack them. Collect their coat & their wee desktop mini plant & do the walk of shame for the intro to the six o’clock news .lol

Everyone knew five minutes ago that cross-dressing men are driven by sexual motives. Everyone. That those stupid women pushed that man into that job so that he could get his rocks off by listening to traumatised women relate their injuries needs to be questioned. What were Sandy Brindley and Maggie Chapman getting out of it? These men – all of them – are larpers and they are all motivated by sex. All of them. It might manifest as so-called ‘gender dysphoria’, but it is all about the sexual feelz. A wealth of information based on study of these men is available and open to all.
Mridul has had no surgery and he lives with a man. Assuming the two have sex, that makes him a homosexual, not a woman. That, of course, is their business. Retraumatizing vulnerable women should be ours and everyone’s. They will all be allowed to slip under the radar and we will hear the mantra ‘lessons have been learned’. Aye, right! 2026 will be our opportunity to get them all out on their brass necks, all the TRA activists in politics, in Scotland. This ideology is destroying our children and our young women and boys. Anyone who professes to believe in it is intellectually unfit to be in politics and certainly unfit to hold high office. Might as well elect someone with the intellectual capacity of a slice of salami and who believes the moon is made of cheese.
Hey, SNP, John Swinney etc… here’s a vote winning idea, why not put an actual biological man in charge of rape crisis Edinburgh, but don’t just stop there, get a man, who cross-dresses, is frankly creepy, and likes to pretend to be a lady. If you want to go even further in this vote winning strategy, why not make sure the bloke you employ to run rape crisis Edinburgh, is an out and out bigot and ideologue, who shows utter contempt for ACTUAL REAL women who have been raped and who is wholly unfit for employment in ANY support, healthcare or client focused role.
Meanwhile, the SNP rummage around trying to figure out why they have lost support.
FFS, SNP, FFS. Sniff the coffee and wake the f*** up already!
Women who have been raped, have almost likely also been brutalised by a man at the same time. They are deeply, deeply traumatised. The appearance of a man, the smell even of a man, or a male voice, or male body movements and shape, ALL affect them. When they go to a rape crisis centre, the very last thing they need to be met with is a frankly, creepy biological man, dressed as a lady. WHY, WHY, WHY the f*** is this not obvious to the Scottish government?????
The entire management of Rape Crisis Scotland needs sacked.
Those in government, especially Sturgeon and Maggie Chapman, should be made to answer for this. THIS is their doing.
It kind of reminds me of the Catholic Church moving their paedophile priests to fresh pastures rather than have the scandal of court cases, hush money paid.
So we will see those involved moved on and nothing to see here attitude will prevail.

Cue great lamentation on Planet Gender ; it’s thin , sewage-fumed atmosphere ( the slightest inhalation of which causes brain-death in humans ) resounding with performative weeping n cries of TRANSRACISTHOMOPOPADOMPHOBIA+BIGOTRY ! from thespian lesbians wae baws & the synchronised gnashing of vagina dendatas* led by Obergruppenzealot Mag Chap-Man .
Tribe sorceresses K. Black-Man n M A Rod-Dick have entered trance-states in an effort to seek guidance from higher sources of knowledge , eg Judith Butler’s Bible aka The Beano of Nonsense-Binary .
That distant rumbling sound isn’t thunder but the stamping of tiny feet as the residents of that alien planet realise their plan to destroy the hated Earthlings by a campaign of stealth-sterilisation of young Earth-spawn & brain-cell vaporising of * adults * of the species has been thwarted . Thus far !
Phasers on brave n stunning
There is an article in the Guardian about a badly worded question in the Census which seems to have inflated the number of trans people in the country.
It has been recognised and the statistic has been disregarded by anyone who knows anything about statistics.
Except Stonewall – surprise, surprise. They have welcomed it with whoops of joy and delight at the ‘proof’ that numbers identifying as trans are on the up.
I am beginning to think that Stonewall ought to be banned as a terrorist organisation aimed at eradicating all truth and common sense in the country.
If Mridal has stepped down I suspect that he’ll still be getting paid.
That’s the way these troughers work. That’s how they get the slots. They are like leeches on the public purse. The Scottish government is full of them.
For so many the guy is just an obnoxious perverted drain on the public purse delivering nothing that folks want.
He lied his way into a job. Time as this article helpful exposes, scum like him were gone.
Anyway, like the thing that was ranting at the SNP conference and got a big cheer the pervs in the SNP are supporting these creeps. And we’re all supposed to be singing the same song.
Aye right.
Wadhwa is gone. Years too late and after who knows how many women victims of rape have been furthered traumatised by him in that time. However, Sandy Brindley remains in her position. Maggie Chapman remains an MSP. There’s still been no repercussions for letting a sex offender into ERCC & there’s few saying out loud that Wadhwa was a predator who used his position of power over vulnerable women & 100% was getting off on it.
In a decent country there’d now be resignations from Brindley and Chapman, and Swinney would announce a public enquiry but this entire situation encompasses so much wrong about Scotland. From the Sturgeon connection, the failure of the SNP to govern well, Queer/Trans ideology, and of course, the clique dominating Scotland and how they’re unaccountable for anything they do. Sure, Wadhwa has gone, but the people who enabled him are there. The practises he brought in at ERCC are still there. Vulnerable women in Edinburgh are still going to suffer.
The ideology that put Wadhwa in place remains. It’d go a long way to make people feel better if Brindley and Chapman are out of work by Monday morning.
