Boak material...

by Rab Clark

"Putting the world to rights" is a phrase that suggests trying to fix or improve the world's problems, often in a way that is idealistic or impractical. It implies a desire to make the world a better place, but it can also be seen as a lofty or unrealistic goal.

Some people might interpret this phrase literally, meaning they aim to solve global issues like poverty, inequality, or environmental problems. Others might use it more figuratively, meaning they want to improve their own lives or the lives of those around them.

Whether or not that's what the women around the breakfast bar in this image are doing is beyond our ken. But they're clearly having a good time. And no-one could grudge them that, could they?

Commenting on anything to do with Sturgeon, her husband, the SNP or Scottish Government in general has become such a minefield that we're not going to comment on any of the people present, why they're there, what they may have discussed, or anything else.

But we can say the following with some confidence - the majority of Scots, for a variety of reasons, are looking forward to seeing the smiles being wiped off certain faces and that image just happens to contain five of them.
